The BEST venue on Cedar Creek Lake! Sunrise Point does not disappoint! Stunning views of the lake, beautiful grounds, and very chic casitas that have direct access to the water! Annie and Sue were great hosts for our work retreat and were very welcoming! Looking for a little weekend getaway without the hassle? Sunrise Point is the perfect place!
Rooms: The four Casitas were perfect! Very well designed and decorated beautifully! The sliding glass doors had the perfect view of the water!
Nearby activities: Great access to all the amenities on the water! Minutes away from the county boat launch, and close to food and and groceries!

Want a paradise weekend only an hour from Dallas?? Sunrise Point is the place! Four gorgeous casitas all right on the lake, a lakeside pool, pickleball, sitting areas and use of the boat dock. We attended a friend “weekend getaway” and had an incredible time!!! Annie was the absolute BEST host, stopping by regularly to check and see if we had any unmet needs. And the sunset…wow!! We will definitely stay here again!

I recently stayed at the cottages at Sunrise Point on Cedar Creek Lake and it was an incredible experience. From the moment we arrived, the general manager, Cassie, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Her attention to detail and warm hospitality made us feel right at home.
The owner, Annie, was equally gracious and welcoming, adding a personal touch that made our stay even more special. The cottages themselves were top of the line, furnished with high-end furnishings that provided the ultimate in comfort and luxury. Every detail, from the stylish decor to the modern amenities, was thoughtfully curated to enhance our stay.
I highly recommend Sunrise Point for anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious getaway. Five stars all the way!

We stayed in the Hummingbird Cottage. The cottage was fantastic and came with an even better view of the lake. Loved the floor to ceiling windows. The bed was super comfy. We used the pool a couple of days, an excellent way to relax. The town was a short drive away for restaurants and the grocery. We also grilled lunch and dinner a few times. Ran into Annie several times and she was always a cheerful and helpful host. We would definitely stay here again.

This was our 2nd visit to Sunrise Point and just like our first visit we had a terrific time. Even though we are locals, it feels like we are at some far away destination on a relaxing vacation. Probably the #1 view on Cedar Creek Lake and I've been around this lake for over 40 years. We spent time fishing, walking around the property, swimming in the pool, and hanging out by the community fire pit at night. The cottages are very nice and provide plenty of space, plus the view of the lake is incredible from inside the cottages as well. We shared this visit with another couple and they also had a great time during their first visit. Casey, Ann, and Sue provide a top notch experience and have made us feel extremely welcome on both visits. We will be back again!

Wonderful oasis at Cedar Creek Lake! The cabins are spacious and cozy. There are many amenities inside the cabin as well as outside, on the grounds. If there were one thing I would add it would be a stove/oven. There is a fridge which holds more than enough, however, I personally enjoy cooking fresh, warm meals. There is a grill although we did not use it. We planned a picnic which was beautiful, followed by a dip in the hottub. All very relaxing! Would I go back? Absolutely! What made the experience over the top were the hosts. They are both very accommodating, nice, and fun people! We met them twice. Once as we arrived. Then once again before leaving. On our trip we felt like we had the entire peninsula to ourselves. Simply refreshing, relaxing, and totally enjoyable.
Nearby activities: Kayak, paddle boards, pickle ball, horse shoes, corn hole, putting green, disc golf, saltwater pool and hottub.

This place takes vacation to a whole new level! There are thoughtful details in every part of your room. It’s luxurious and cozy all at the same time. The hosts are lovely. Communication was clear and they were incredibly inviting.

Sunrise Point was above and beyond my expectations. Casey was so helpful and always available. The room and the property were immaculate. So clean and tidy with everything I needed provided. I can’t say enough about my magical experience at Sunrise Point and we caught a lot of fish, right from shore!!! Can’t wait to go back again in the fall.
Rooms: Modern design with perfectly appointed decor. Upscale linens, lighting, TV, with an amazing view of the lake. Loved our own grill, lawn chairs, shared fire pit, jacuzzi, fishing, pickleball and much more!
Nearby activities: Had brunch at Simple Thymes in downtown Malakoff right next door to a great book store and dress shop. So charming and unique!
Safety: Felt so safe on property and off.

I booked the stay seeing all the good reviews but ill tell you what , No manners on how to communicate and talk to guest to make their stay pleasant. Not coming back

Excellent place to stay after reading all the reviews we wondered what the one stars were about. Apparently somebody probably has got their place confused with another venue. There’s no way this is a one star place. Excellent over-the-top, and we will definitely be back again.

We hosted a yoga retreat here and the team was incredibly helpful and responsive. Our guests adored their rooms and took full advantage of all the amenities. The communal areas made our event so special and were very inviting and peaceful. It was a wonderful experience!
