February 2024 by Reviews Matter
Same thoughts as another reviewer . My husband have been spending time organizing out home lately . Lots of things we do not use anymore but know that someone would love to have these items .We spent several hours on our weekend packing things up to donate to Goodwill .All but one of the workers at this center are not very helpful and almost seem upset that they have to get up and give up a “ receipt “ for our donations. They don’t help you unload your things as they use to . No hello, no thank you . Nothing. Still , I’m not giving to them , I’m giving to many others who need these items . So , I will continue to give despite the employees that work here !!

My son and I dropped off about 4 bags of miscellaneous items this afternoon. The employee came out with a cart and loaded everything up, let out a heavy sigh and walked away. He never acknowledged us during the exchange - no hello, no thank you for your donation, etc. My son and I looked at each other with confusion, got back in our car and drove away. Totally caught us off guard, especially for a donation center.

The staff was very nice. And I do understand they don't want junk. However they have gotten a bit uppity on their criteria for donation. I would suggest calling ahead.

This makes no sense. I've gone to this place for years and they've always been willing to unload for you. I went today, at a time when "curbside no contact service" is important to us because of Covid. They said that you now have to park in the front and unload it yourself. There was a big crowd of people unloading and walking all over the place. There are plenty of other places that appreciate your donation and will be happy to unload for you. The weird thing is that this place has always been willing to do it until the time when it's most needed! Worst time to change your policies! And no offer to do it for us when I told the employee that we need to stay in the car. I told the employee we would be forced to go somewhere else. He just said "ok" and walked off. I would think that Goodwill, of all places, would be familiar with making accommodations. Nope.

If your donation hours have changed, you should update your records on Google. I showed up with a donation at 5:33pm when you close at 6pm and was waved away by the lady working who said you are not taking any more donations today and to come back tomorrow. This was a special trip to make this donation and this could have been avoided.
