This place is well worth the time you take to visit. It has some interesting exhibits and they are well arranged, the staff is very helpful and I would recommend you visit it while in Bryan.

The lady in the museum is friendly. It's a small town museum, so do not expect to see many things. I hope that they can collect more artefacts in the future and keep the museum open. If you pass by Madisonville and want to know more about the town, it's a perfect place to give a visit. The current opening time is Wednesday - Saturday 10:00 - 2:00, but call them before you go, as it's run by volunteers.

If you are visiting or just driving through, you should stop by and visit. Check their hours first before visiting. And don't forget to stop by Walker's Cafe while you're in town, best food around! My family have donated many things to this museum.

The director Mr. DeCamp is very professional and enthusiastic. This is a place to bring the little folks with instructive machinery indoors as well as preserved historical building, and a restored prairie on the grounds.

If you want to know about Madison County in Madisonville, TX. this is the place to visit. There were several fires that destroyed the courthouses. In the museum are exhibits of cattle, crops, and oil, antique guilts, and an exhibition on WWll and contributions to the war effort by Madisonville citizens.
