I was at the garden center at the Lowe’s in Lufkin Tx picking up garden soil and I needed 10 bag. After the first 5 I started noticing that the bag were busted and taped up. The bags were noticeably lighter that the other 50lbs bags. I grabbed them anyways cause they were the last ones available, thinking they they would probably be discontented at checkout. While checking out I explained to the guy checking me that some of the bag were damaged and Sandra walked up behind be and said their was nothing wrong with the bags and they wouldn’t be discounted. They are trying to rip people off especially the manager. I tooked the 5 bags that were damaged off and paid for the others. The checked was very polite. I wasn’t looking for free bags but I wasn’t going to pay full price for busted bags.

I use my military discount which I have on my "My Lowes" card. All I have to do is have the cashier scan my card and it automatically applies the discount. But starting March 8th I think it is. You will have to use some kind of QR code in the lowes app. They say it is for convenience, but I think they are hoping a lot of people won't do it. They already removed the discount from lumber. What's next?

I was purchasing a new toilet, but didn't want the average one! The Associate answered all of my questions and helped me pick out my dream toilet! He said I'd get a discount if I applied for their Card, so I did, then he helped load it into my car! Great service!

This is a pretty handy place to get paint, lumber, tools, and other DIY items. On my last trip, I purchased a new kitchen faucet since my old one started to drip. The new one had completely different hookups than the original, so I had to make another trip to the local hardware store (Lowes isn't local for me)... but now that that's all done, it works perfectly and doesn't drip.

I've probably spent over $100,000 at Lowes over the years. Well, they've probably gotten their last penny from me after today. We got hacked and I'm waiting on a replacement credit card to come in, so I figured what the heck, I'll use this Lowes card. I checked. It's open, 13k credit line, zero balance. Cool. Went to the store. Got my stuff. Only 30 bucks including a sheet of drywall. Get to the lumber checkout, swiped the card, nothing. The kid behind the counter that didn't know his you-know-what from a hole in the ground, says "duh, it didn't work. it says call some number". Ok, call the number maybe? Plays with the phone for a minute. "Duh, it didn't work. Duh". Maybe I should go down to customer service? "Yeah, they can help. Duh." Get there and "you have a return?". No this card isn't working. "Did you call your bank?" It's a LOWES card! ... Anyway, to make a long story short, I was getting so angry by this point I had to tell them never mind. "Have a nice day!" All the time looking at me like I'm a criminal or something. Just feel like they treated me like dirt and didn't give a damn about a long time customer. You could just tell they didn't care one bit. No longer. I am done!

Lufkin Lowe’s is sub par at best. I bought a home in November of 2022 and have been visiting the Lufkin Lowe’s on a weekly basis to buy materials and/or tools to do my whole home remodel and we have easily invested a small fortune in the past year on materials and tools. On too many occasions I have not been able to locate items I need, I tend to check on the app before heading to the store and it would say they have several in stock and when I get to the store the items are either not in the location the app says and none of the employees can find the item. This has happened over a handful of times already that it’s gotten to the point that I now buy all my tools from Home Depot. If the employees can’t find the materials I need and the materials happen to be an item only Lowe’s carries, I just drive to the Nacogdoches location 25 minutes away since that location’s stock inventory is managed and organized WAY BETTER than the Lufkin location. The last straw for me was when I was redoing my backsplash. I went to buy the tiles I wanted and the Lowe’s app shows they had 56 available on 10/22/23. I went that same day and of course, there were none on the shelf and the employees could not locate them. So the next day I went to the Nacogdoches location and not only did they have them in the exact location where the app showed, the shelves were also stocked way neater and organized than the Lufkin location. The difference was EASILY SEEN. Unfortunately, on 10/29/23 I was finishing up my backsplash and I was a few pieces short so I went to the Lufkin store to buy one more box since it still showed they had 56 in stock at the Lufkin location on the app. I get there and nothing can be seen. My wife asked an employee and they simply told her they could not find them, she then asked for a manager and was told he would be there shortly, we waited about 10 minutes and no manager ever came. I like Lowe’s, but it’s RIDICULOUS to me that I have to drive 25 miles to the neighboring town’s Lowe’s when I literally live literally 0.6 miles from the Lufkin location.

Employees are helpful and friendly. The store is always well stocked with a vast selection. I always find what I am looking for and usually at a very fair price. Check the web site for your item, sales are not always clearly marked. I have been pleasantly surprised more than once when I check out and the price is less than I thought!

If you need assistance, help finding an item etc you need to draw a map or a locator GPS to find a worker. Then you should set your expectations very low, 9 times out of 10 they haven't one clue. But....that expert advice you just got will be reflected in the price. Good luck!

I’ve always shop there because of course something is always braking, my house, the gym… Some not all, are usually snobby, specially the older lady where you do your tax exempt paper work, she kept giving me attitudes and treating me like I was stupid because she couldn’t find me in the system, looked at me stupid when I said it’s for a gym, kept saying remarks like “you can only put one phone number, not two” like I’m the one who did things wrong. I respectfully respond to all her remarks even though my daughter behind me was getting mad at her attitude. I finally told her idk what they did they did all the paperwork, I didn’t. All I did was answer all their questions and gave them paper work. I usually don’t ask for help because of customer service like this. Well Friday night my husband and 7 year old had an emergency and got stranded, he needed two small parts to fix the problem, he send me pictures and I rushed to Lowe’s making it in 5 mins before they closed. A lady said loudly “um ma’am we’re closed, we’ll be closing in 5 mins” I said 5 mins is not enough for me to buy something? She repeated herself and I did too, I showed them my phone and told them this is all I need if you could just give me this I can leave fast. A guy said she’s paying with card it’ll be fine, got someone to help me with the 1st part, as I followed him everyone screamed ma’am were closed ( it didn’t matter how far I was from them, even the nice older black man) he gave me the part and said the other part should be by the front on the other side, WALKED AWAY FROM ME, a couple also shopping looking at him and I was like where? Still walking away far from me now, just said by the front and kept walking. I called my husband on FaceTime told him he needed to hurry up and tell me where to find the other part because everyone was kicking me out, while on the phone another guy kicked me out again ( we’re closed) So he just told me “don’t worry about it just come get baby” I walked out the store and gave the one part they gave me to the 1st lady and told her sarcastically “ Thank you for your help” (she said “you’re welcome have a great night” ) lol… Yeap, that got me out of character and said what came out my mouth as I’m walking out knowing I’m going to pick up my 7 year old crying because he’s stranded and they didn’t care to sell me two little parts that would’ve fix everything ??♀️ And yes there was other people shopping. Anyways, this is probably the 2nd review I made in my whole life (1st) one was good. Now it makes me feel I gotta do better and let people know everyone that deserves a 5 start review.
