A hometown feel with quality customer service. I especially enjoy the branch at 73rd and Slide in Lubbock. Every employee is friendly, helpful, and they always respond to and follow through with my requests. So glad I left the monster bank with ethical issues (initials WF) over a dozen years ago!

I have been a customer for over 6 years. I have never had any major problems. A few things I love about them are: They are great with alerting you with fraud alert, they have great online banking and banking app, they have a rewards program when you use your debit card along with an app that shows you the deals, and their willingness to ensure proper identity with transactions. Everyone I have encountered has been friendly and professional. I think they value their customers! As far as I know they hand you everything you need to know about accounts you want to open up, when you open them, including the balance you have to maintain in the account and all charges that can occur if account is not maintained. They also send me updates of any kind in the mail and online! Overall its a great place to go!

I sincerely despise PlainsCapital Bank as a whole. My husband and I have been with them for well over a decade and I cannot tell you how many times I feel I have been swindled by them. They charge NSF fees at random ALL THE TIME and then you have to argue with them to get them to remove it. I stopped using them as my main bank years ago and just last week, I had a charge come through that put me a couple of dollars over my account. Rightfully I got an NSF fee charged to my account (even though I think it is ridiculous to do that for a couple of dollars). Then, randomly, they charged us another fee 5 days later. For absolutely no reason at all! They took the fee off after a day or so, but it is random acts of annoying things like that make me never, ever want to use them again. That being said, they usually have very friendly customer service, but the employees cannot help the stupid rules (or lack thereof) for their company.
