The minute you walk into The Matador you are greeted with kindness from the employees and owners. There are so many choices of amazing Texas Tech gear! A couple of friends and I went into this location and when we walked in we were not greeted . The lady working was hanging up a shirt and then went behind the register immediately after. My friends and I were in the front of the store looking at the Apple Watch bands (directly in front of the register). And still did not receive a greeting. Maybe a minute or so later three Caucasian people enter the store (a woman and two children) and they received the nicest welcome from Abby. My friends and I immediately left the store ,but soon went back in to ask for a manager( which was not there) and the employees name. I’ve never received this type of treatment in Lubbock and the fact that Abby has made this my first bad experience is just mind-blowing.-if you haven’t realized my friends and I are minorities.

Great place to get your Tech gear. Can do some customization. Many unique items. Store is clean and NOT cluttered. Covid guidelines followed. Staff on Monday was friendly and informative without being pushy. Bought some hats, decals, and a hoodie.

I went to The Matador five years ago and then came back again today both times that I have been, I have had a great experience! They have great apparel options from stickers and magnets to shirts and shorts! The service was also 10/10. The person helping us check out was really sweet! I recommend this place over other Texas tech Merchandise places I’ve been ??

This location has very friendly associates. Ask for Riley or Ally they helped me out and always had the best attitude. The store was immaculate and well kept. I appreciate the atmosphere they have! I'm going to continue to shop there.

The selection is poor. No comparison to Red Raider Outfitters. I had a grandson with me and was buying $30 worth of merchandise. He needed to use the restroom. "Management" wouldn't allow! Last time I'll walk in !
