I had a family member trick my granny with dementia into signing into this place and I visited her to see how the place was and they had her in the part where the people have extreme dementia like where they forget to eat and forget to go to the bathroom, my granny remembers where she is and remembers everything she needs to live on her own. I talked to a nurse and she said my granny doesn't even need to be in the home, I took my granny outside and in the chicken pin was a single dead chicken laying on top of the pin. I do not recommend ever bringing your loved ones to this place, they are understaffed and they don't have enough space to actually house seniors without grouping them all together and don't get me started on the food, my granny was served a ice cold sandwich that was just two pieces of bread with some meat in between, they don't even clean their rooms cause I found two used diapers in my granny's closet. The rooms are also bare with no privacy but a curtain.

My father had gotten transferred to Garrision for hospice. So far he has called home from his cell phone multiple times due to nurses not answering him pushing the button to his room my wife is going out to get a bell at our own expense and the situations will start to be documented. Also I plan on starting visits every day or every other day either my wife me or my brother and comments he makes in our person will be video recoded and documented. This has been three days since he was transfer there. -Joseph Zobac

This is the worst place to take a loved one. There are maybe a couple of people that I trusted to take care of my dad. Other than that. nope. I would never recommend this place in good conscience. Like. Ever.

Understaffed in all departments. Administration is impossible to work with, this company has no communication what so ever!! You can bend over backwards for this company and the administrator shows NO appreciation \\u0026 does not live the CAPLICO WAY! I WOULD NOT REFER THIS NURSING HOME TO ANYBODY MUCH LESS PUT ANY OF MY FAMILY HERE. I’VE SEEN FIRST HAND WHAT GOES ON IN THIS NURSING HOME CNA’s ARE CARELESS WITH THESE RESIDENCE AND ADMINISTRATION TAKES NO KIND OF RESPONSIBILITY OR ACCOUNTABILITY FOR HIS STAFF!!!

My mother in law has been at the garrison about 2 years. It’s always one excuse after another. I’ve had to fight for her to get proper care. In the last month the place has gone downhill. Under staffed, cold food, and lack of compassion for the residents. I’m having to fight daily for proper care. Walked in today and she was screaming for help.

Do NOT bring your loved ones to this place because they will not be safe. My granny has been staying here for a few weeks and has been physically abused time and time again. One of the head nurses put her hands on her and slammed her knees into the wall, digging her nails into her skin and then turned her oxygen level down to where my granny could hardly breathe and started to panic. She has bruises and impalement marks on her knees. This same nurse also threatened her to stop calling her family members when something happens there. My granny has been moved, thank God, and will not be returning to this place. Please rethink any decision of bringing your loved ones to this unprofessional, toxic and abusive place.

My mother was a resident there for about three months for physical rehab, but unfortunately, she passed away about 2 weeks ago. I was never informed by anyone from the nursing facility that my Mom even passed away. A whole week went by and still nothing, not even a phone call, email, or text until I finally called them... I was informed that my Mother was passing away about two hours before she died from the hospital staff at UMC. Luckily, I made it there in time to see her off. The lack of communication is definitely an issue there and should be addressed. Also, when she first got there her medication (Vicodin) was stolen out of her backpack, someone took half of the prescription but left the other half. They were counted before she went in, so she knew exactly how many were in the bottle. She expressed concern about the situation, but I respected her wishes and didn't say anything due to the fact she had to live there and receive care by them. Guess that person needed it more than her. I would recommend drug testing your staff. She did tell me that throughout her stay she was treated fairly, and she felt safe. Other than that, I wouldn't recommend.

I’ve had the pleasure of staying here at the Garrison for about two weeks . Everyone from from environmental services crew , the nursing staff, Physical therapy, just everyone, has treated me very well . It’s been a blessing to be here . Now they got my wound healed up and it’s time to go home . I’m going to miss my group of people that got me through this little mess I was in . Thank you to all that worked with me to get me back to doing better . God bless .

If you are wanting Your loved one to be Safe and well taking care of, Garrison nursing home is NOT the plac! e . During the time that my husband was there they neglected his physical miracle and hygiene Care. The lack of Communication Between the staff is a big cause of cause of this problem.. Also they Are constantly short of staff and the staff through agencies do agencies that they do get a lot of them are there just to get their

It would be nice if I could have reviewed the nursing and medical staff - but since my family member never made it into the facility, I'm going to rate their admissions staff, because they are the reason we didn't send our loved one there. The admissions coordinator was great when I first met him; we liked that the staff to patient ratio was so much better than everyone else's and they also specialize in Alzheimer's care which we needed. However, after the initial contact they pretty well disappeared off the face of the earth. The admissions coordinator generously gave us his cell phone number so that we could call him "any time day or night" which is a complete lie, because he never answers the phone or returns messages. The one time he accidentally answered, he did talk to me and told me it was going to take 2-3 days to verify benefits - it's now been over two weeks and he still has not called me back. They do not return phone calls; they do not answer their phone. I tried to call the administrator and left a message for them as well with no returned call. After what felt like hundreds of attempts to get a response on "what's next" to get our loved one into their facility, we finally gave up. Be cautious if you are going to need them to help you with paperwork, billing issues, etc - they are completely non-responsive in their business and administrative offices.
