Thank you to HomeBase employee Todd, for going above and beyond your store duties!! We were turning in the HomeBase parking lot from 50th street and ran over something that punctured our tire. While changing the tire we discover our spare was flat. Thank you Todd for helping us put air in the spare tire. You saved us a lot of frustration. We changed the flat, bought the pickets we came there for and were on our way. Also, a big thank you to the customer that stopped to help us. Very thankful and blessed to live where people still help others in need!

I stopped in the store in Lubbock on Feb 26th and ordered both an 8x8 and a 12x16 deck packages. I told them I would be back on March 16th (today) to pick them up. There was an issue in the beginning about the concrete being included but it stated so in the ad, so Todd took care of this for me immediately. My boyfriend and I show up about 10:45 this morning and went around back by 11 am to pick up. We had gotten a 20 ft truck. The young man in the yard, Steven busted his butt loading up the truck. He discovered some parts were missing and ran around the store to take care of it. When he ran down the checklist, he discovered we had the wrong pieces of wood and other items. Apparently, the person that picked the order; which they had almost 3 weeks to put together. Was lazy or incompetent or both. Because Steven had to unload the truck, repick the order and reload. We were there 3-1/2 hours for something that should have been ready when we got there. I applaud Steven for his commitment to doing the very best job for us, but the rest didn't seem to care at all as I called the front a couple of times. I spent just short of 3k on this order, to say that I am pissed is an understatement.I live near midland, so this was a 4 hour rd trip. I lived in Amarillo and bought from the sutherlands there for years. This will be the last dime they will ever get from me. Steven deserves a raise!!

Without a doubt, the owners and district manager don't care about the bottom line at least when it pertains to the Lubbock store. It is usually empty - why? No customer service whatsoever! No one seems to give a d***n that you are trying to purchase something in "their" store. I had asked two girls at the service counter (what a joke!) that were busy chatting to themselves if the trees were going on sale anytime soon since it is the middle of October. They none nonchalantly looked at me with annoyed faces and told me they (management) don't tell them anything. I then went home and called the store and spoke with the assistant manager. He smugly told me I should have bought them in the summer when they were on sale. That's not what I asked. Someone with any kind of customer service whatsoever would have said not right now, "but" let me check to see if they are going to be on sale anytime soon. Not this simpleton! That would require effort and customer service.

Every time I go in and check out. All the cashiers I have to ring up my sale always have some sort of issue running the registers. I'm surprised about that because of who the manager is. They really need training on how to expedite a speedy sale at the POS.

I love the selection and usually have a great experience, however, this trip was different. The staff was short when approached for assistance and acted rudely toward my wife when she asked for help a second time. Had they been busy I could maybe understand just a bit but they were DEAD!Rude af

We prefer Home Base over the larger stores, but the last time there was horrible. We spent a good deal of money on a lawn mower. The individual in that department absolutely refused to assist us at all. We were there on a Thursday afternoon and there were hardly any customers. He looked at us with disgust and turned away. We get the lawn mower home and of course, it doesn't work. It would have been nice to get questions answered, but customer service wasn't his priority. Very disappointing.

I love HomeBase! They have a great selection of nearly everything, the garden center has the best quality soils and fertilizer. I go to HomeBase over Lowes and Home Depot any day of the week. The best part about HomeBase is they actually have people that work there that are available to help. They are so kind, smiling and courteous, going to HomeBase is a joy!

I am new to town so this was my 1st time to the store it was nice and big and yet felt like a small local hardware store they have lots and lots of items I don't almost didn't have exactly what I was looking for but only probably gonna find it online. Very clean store with nice friendly people.

Well organized, items are easy to locate by aisle identifier signs. Home improvement store, appliances, decor items from paint, window treatments, lumber, bricks, appliances to landscaping items; plants to lawn decorations.
