One of the bartenders, unfortunately I didn’t get his name, was extremely rude and pretentious. It was certainly off putting while trying to enjoy a drink. I made a comment about the strength of my drink to my friend and was met with smugness in response from one of the bartenders who believe they know it all and was clearly evesdropping on our conversation.
Everything else about this hotel is great. Rooms are clean, spacious, and the wifi is incredibly fast.
Great location, too. Walking distance to 24/7 places.
Just unfortunate that one of the bartenders was so rude and obnoxious. Stay in your lane and mind your own business.

We were there for the Lubbock Book Festival. A beautiful banquet hall. Always saw hotel staff working to keep the space clean and tidy. A wonderful experience. Thank you.

There's nothing wrong with the burger here. It's always my go-to. There's a unique flare to the way they make their burger, leaving the meat a little rare on the inside and the enormous slice of cheese that they leave on the patty itself. When you bite into it, theres just enough juice dripping down but not overly intrusive. The burger doesn't try to evacuate out of the other side either.
Rooms: The rooms are spacious and perfect if you have group activities going on.

I would like to recognize the front desk staff member David for being very kind, professional, and knowledgeable. Welcomed us and made us feel at home. Making sure our stay was very comfortable. Great customer service. The hotel itself was also very clean and fancy. I really liked the design of the rooms. Would 100% recommend this place. My room was a perfect temperature when I got in and the entire night. Surprisingly the pillows were pretty comfortable too.

I would say not a bad place to stay but defiantly needs some seriously maintenance and staffing attention. The elevators always appeared to have issues. One would stop on floors or skip floors all together. Another time it was completely dark beside a small light illuminating the elevator and the maintenance panel was wide open. The service outside was slow or none existent at the Pecan Grill. Only relatively fast service was sitting right at the bar. The rooms refrigerator made more noises than anything else. The toilet would keep running so you’d always have to check the handle. The fan either didn’t work or made a bunch of noises while running. The shower drain obviously needs to be snaked out because water would back up while showering. The shower also had previously occupants hair left in it from the previous stay. That about sums it up. Once these things are addressed it would be a really awesome place to stay!
Nearby activities: Buddy Holly center, Two Docs Brewery, Prairie Dog Ranch, Large antique mall to mention a few places.
Safety: Had lots of civilized people coming and going. Also seen some sort of security around the parking lot. Didn’t see and riff raff or homeless drug addicts.

Great Hotel; western vibe; live evening music; large rooms; well stocked bar and very good restaurant food. Well worth whatever you pay to stay here. Very clean with a hospital staff.

Great place but hate they rip you off when there is something going on in town related to Tech students and their families. Room prices double when there is an event in town making it almost unaffordable for the parents are there just to visit their kids or to move them in and out of the dorm. it doesn’t speak much for their community support

Caden for the win!!!!
We had an amazing time. Went for a wedding and it was an amazing experience. Everything was clean, courses were well timed and delicious.
One of the people running the event was Carden. He was beyond helpful, extremely professional and made the night go by without issue.

Maybe my expectations were incorrect. I expected this to be the premiere hotel in Lubbock, but it is just pretty average. You are mostly paying for location/proximity to campus and the stadium. There were dirty room sevice dishes outside of our door upon walk up. The walls are very thin, so you can hear the conversations of your neighbors. The metal parts in the shower were rusted and staining the tub. The shower curtain had lots of mold spots. The vent in the bathroom was partially hanging off the ceiling from previous repairs and their was a lot of mismatched paint around the reapair.

From check-in to check-out, everything went smoothly! Our room was clean and quiet! The pool was very clean. The Pecan Grill was delicious!
The Starbucks inside the hotel is very convenient and saved us time!
Each staff member greeted us with a smile.
It was a great stay. We can’t wait to stay again!
