My little brother and I were in the store for not even 5 mins and the cashier working on 12/20/24 at 10:20 pm looked at us and said “ You going to buy something or what” I immediately put everything down and left. Never going again

I am a retired Electrical Engineer who owns three vehicles and drives a good deal, spending from $300 to $500 on fuel a month. Because the Murphy's USA on 3401 W Loop 289 Acc Rd, Lubbock, TX 79407 is near my home I would buy all my fuel there. That is until now. There is a rude young man there that feels it is his place to share his political opinions and insult his customers. I came in to buy a newspaper to clean glass with. He informs me it is some kind of "right wing rag" and proceeds to lecture me on his knowledge of molecular biology. I must say I am impressed that you would hire so well trained a Biologist to run your cash registers but since he chose to insult a retired professional, I will now purchase my fuel from another vendor.

Just put gas here today and my truck started acting up and transmitting light turned on.. thinking I got bad gas … anyone else?

Typical Murphy store so there isn't anything bad to say about the store itself. However, you guys really need to talk to that negative young guy who works there. Every time I've ever interacted with him all he will talk about is how much he hates life, that store and everyone in it. He is vehemently opposed to any attempt the customer might make to turn the conversation positive. He has the ability to find something negative about anything. The first time or two I didn't think much of it, I mean everybody's allowed a bad day from time to time. I realize I don't know what he may be going through in his personal life. However, you can't bring it to work every single day. He is losing you guys customers. I live just down the street and I avoid going to your store incase he is working. I just don't want to listen to it evert time. I'm certain I'm not the only one.

The gas price is OK here, also can get an additional 10 cents off with the Walmart Plus membership. The store is ok, a bit grimy. Service is friendly. Prices are high on some items, but a few things are reasonable. Stopped here more out of convenience of location.

This review is not on the store. It's a young guy reddish hair, tall and very gloom and despair and always says the same thing, he never ask how you are???? When you ask him how are you doing? I'm still alive, just in hell..... customer service is #1 priority and who wants so much negative energy. Somebody might want to check on his mental health

Never know if they're gonna be open or closed. Always out of milk. Usually long line because they waste 10 mins asking for "rewards" and checking IDs. VERY poorly run store.
