We were called by an employee of Hertz the day before we were supposed to pick it up our vehicle stating that it would not be available. We had reserved a small SUV to go out of town for the weekend. I stated that we would be willing to downsize to a car. I was informed that nothing was available. I was told over the phone that they had 10 other customers that they had to inform that they would have no car. Not a good way to run a business. When I got on Priceline to see about making a reservation with another company, Hertz was still showing cars even though they know there are no cars available. This was my first and last time using this company.

On a business trip this week, we had to do a quick online search to find a car, and were lucky enough to find single vehicle available at this Hertz location ( and possibly in all of Lubbock ). When we arrived, we were graciously greeted by David, who went out of his way to get us what we needed. He was also there when we returned the vehicle a couple of days later, and was just as kind and pleasant.

I thought when I booked this rental, it was at the Lubbock airport. Nope. They pulled out. I asked if they had a shuttle, as it was about 13 min away. No shuttle. I had to get an Uber and pay $35 to go rent my car! Ridiculous! When I got there. I said something- and they just said we are trying to get back there. Couldn't they at least have a shuttle? My car was great and fast service but that was just upsetting!

On a Tuesday afternoon we flew into Lubbock from Las Vegas our plane was delayed we arrived at 7:33pm Out of the 5 rental car counters available all were still open except Hertz. The sign on the counter said they closed at 7 pm. This is not mentioned online anywhere or on the confirmation email. So 33 min late was enough time to gave away our car, I was back the next day well before the time they opened at 11 am all other counters opened at 8 am. I was first in line and hertz said they gave my car away and now don’t have cars until tomorrow. So in Lubbock with no car option because Avis enterprise Alamo national all are sold out of cars. They just politely say their sorry and have a nice day. Why are they still open for business. They shouldn’t be an option if they filed for bankruptcy.

OMFG will NEVER be back here. Will remain at Enterprise.Tried to rent a car for my daughter to join us at the hospitalization of a family member that didn't look like it was going to have a good outcome.I cant do that, Enterprise does it for me all the time, but with this place the payment has to be with the card that has the name of the driver ONLY. So I had to log into my bank account to transfer money to her account to cover her rental. I am in San Antonio and not Lubbock btw. We make the reservation. She gets there to pick up the car because despite the website saying you can have the car delivered for 30 dollars (Enterprise does this for free) they don't have the employees at any location to deliver the vehicle, with her friend that is taking time off work to help her out and THE ENTIRE LOT IS EMPTY!!!! SERIOUSLY????So I call support, actually should be called we can't do a thing for you department. I have to three way the call because pick up time is evidently now protected by HIPAA, so she can give them consent to discuss the national security level information. After all this song and dance the agent asked me "why are they out of cars?" YOURE KIDDING RIGHT? No this idiot was serious. Then I asked can you move the reservation to Preston Smith International Airport. She says we have to go out there and ask them to do that because she can't. There is no limit to the things Hertz cannot do.We ONLY went here because Enterprise was booked up until Monday and by what the doctors hint, Monday may very well be too late.TAKE NOTE WILL WALK BACKWARDS UPHILL ON ONE LEG WITH SNOW BLOWING IN MY FACE BEFORE I EVEN CONSIDER COMING HERE AGAIN.CHANGE YOUR NAME TO HURTS, AS DOING BUSINESS WITH YOU IS BEYOND PAINFUL.

Worst experience with a rental company ever. They were supposed to pick me up at 3pm, no one showed, i was left outside in 106 degree weather. No one answered the phone, i called for an hour straight. This was supposed to be charged to my insurance company, they charged me, so my insurance is sending me the check now. EFFFFF this company.

Great service until today. I have been waiting for a notification from Hertz that me rental was ready. But it never came so I called only to be told I was never going to get a notification because the rep "didn't print out the ticket". You would think Hertz would be trying to capitalize on every rental but apparently they are going to opposite route and avoiding them.
