Worst bank ever. Customer service is non-existent. I went to close my account and no one even asked me why I was taking my banking elsewhere. No one cared at all. Pathetic bank. I thought HSB was a local bank/small town bank. Nope, they are not at all what west Texas values are about.

Ever since Happy Bank sold the customer service has gone to hell. After years as a customer I took my money and business elsewhere.

First of all I want to say that I HATE that they were bought out by Centennial Bank because their accounting system is now HORRIBLE! They have changed the system to a system that is OLD! which makes banking with them harder. I used to love banking with them but now I have had issues with the way their system works. You can no longer get instant deposits using Venmo or the Cash App which makes it inconvenient when you need the deposit that day. If it wasn't such a pain to switch banks I would. However, I am giving them three stars because of Mr. Martinez at the branch on 98th & Quaker because he was sooo helpful and made my frustrating morning a lot better with his help. I am still not happy with their system but I am very grateful for the help and great customer service that Mr. W. Martinez gave me. Thank you Mr. Martinez for your help and I do appreciate it. Keep up the great work:)

After Centennial bougth Happy State Bank, this has become of the worst banks I've ever used. There are no direct numbers to the branches and all calls are routed to some customer service center where no one ever answers. I use to be able to make a loan payment online but now I have to call or go to a location and its a total inconvenience. I a currently speaking with another bank to buy out my loan because I do not want to continue dealing with Centennial!

Since the merger this bank has had the worst customer service. The branches basically refuse to help, no one answers phones, the app never give you your correct balance and the hours of service are never correct. To top it off the merger was a nightmare and contradictory information is always given. Customer service and the hometown feel of this bank are long gone.

Since they merged with another bank you can no longer get help thru their phone support. When calling they have over 100 people in queue waiting. When you go into the branch they do not know how to resolve your problems with the account. Im sad to say this was not how the bank was run before the buyout/merger. I no longer feel like a valued customer now i feel like just a number.

We moved our business and personal accounts over to y’all a month ago after our old bank was bought out and we have been absolutely blown away with the level of professional curtesy we have received! The absolute worst bank, I felt 100% discriminated upon. I just wanted to cash a check and they asked for a second form of ID. So I gave it to them and then 10 minutes later requested my SSN to verify my status. Mind you the second forms of ID was both my VA card and my Navy Federal Credit Card. I work in finance and know that is 10000 and over that your ssn is needed for tax purposes. This was straight up profiling. HAPPY STATE BANK MY A__!

Drive thru tellers turn off their speaker after greeting you. I guess they don't care what you might be trying to tell them, like asking a question. Just rude. And so very fake. Like someone saying....Hello, how are you? Then turning around and walking off. It just sounds good, but don't really care.
