This review is for Discount Tire at 6306 82nd Street in Lubbock, Texas. I went in for a tire rotation and was told that the tread was too low for them to touch the tires. I know that the tires are older but have not been in a position to purchase new ones. I simply wanted to rotate them to help get the last bit of use out of them I could.
The sales representative told me that they couldn't work on them, and I told him I wasn't asking for repair, I was asking for rotation. He then made some vague reference to "State Law". For inspections, maybe but I wasn't in there for an inspection.
I finally requested clarification that they were refusing to perform a service that I was willing to pay for, at which time he told me that if I bought new tires from him the rotations would be free.
I've been shopping in there for well over a decade and have outfitted four vehicles multiple times. Over the years I've seen my daughters hit with these sort of scams from this same store and I always chose to deal with it through the manager of the store. This time I'm done. I won't be back and I encourage everyone to watch out for these practices at this location.

Sales person was very professional and even commented on how nice my car was. Checked all my tires and this obvious damage was not there. I got 4 new tires installed and upon pickup one of my rims had been severely scratched. I brought this to the their attention and they refused to take accountability for the damage. Beware and take photos before is highly suggested.

Cheapest and nicest place in lubbock to get an alignment. Very friendly and helpful. Said it would be about 2 hours and turned out to be about an hour and a half.

Always get my tires here. A while back, I got a set of wheels also. I have lost a few of the center caps, so when I needed a missing lug nut, I went in, and Fred helped me. Fred got on the phone and found me a set of center caps and got them ordered and went and found me the correct locking lug nut. I also didn't have my lug key with me, so he got let me use theirs. Great experience with a very helpful employee.

In all fairness I had no appointment so I was prepared to wait a reasonable amount of time. I walked thru the doors at 12:45 and it is now 3:15 and my truck has not been moved to a tire bay yet. I am only having a flat fixed so I am so surprised that I’m still waiting. I was told my truck would be ready at 3:15. I guess that won’t be happening. I would not keep waiting but I have no choice now. I have to have the flat repaired before I can pull a trailer. I asked if they were shorthanded and the gentleman at the counter said no. I guess waiting almost 3 hours for a flat repair is acceptable to them.

Everyone was super nice! They knew I had a toddler and baby with me and got me in and out with 4 new tires in 30 minutes! They even set a bay specifically for me! I’ve honestly never had such great service from a discount tire and I’ve been to plenty across the country! If I could do 6/5 stars I would

Don’t ever take a stick shift to this place. The kids that work here stalled my car 5 times just trying to move it. Never coming back.

I have purchased my tires there for years. Their appointment system is recommended so you don't have to wait as long.As with many other DT shops, the lobby is clean and there are comfy places to sit.

1. This is by far the worst customer service i’ve dealt with at discount tire. The guys at the front desk won’t even acknowledge people as they walk up. I think they need to be trained on proper customer experience.
2. week later I had a low tire and waited 15 minutes by the air check cone. No one came out to tell me that the wait was longer today. My past experience at other discount tires someone was helping me almost instantly.
I think a little communication goes along way. Tell me that you are busy and the wait is going to be longer than usual.
