“Moving to Lubbock was very difficult for me. However, attending a writing and art workshop at ELAH made a significant difference. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with smiling faces. It was refreshing to see a variety of ages and people. This place made me feel safe during a time when my social anxiety and mental health issues were pressuring me to isolate and stay home.
I received books that have helped improve my emotional intelligence, and I’ve been using them since my visit to the workshop. The organizers were genuine and overall very welcoming. Thank you for creating a space where people can feel safe.”
“Jan, and her team, are true angels on earth. The ministry they provide to the least of these, folks without safe living arrangements, is so special. Their goal of restoration, helping folks help themselves to get back to a place of self-sufficiency by providing for their physical needs including a safe living space and community is truly life-saving. Jan's energy and spirits of encouragement is a blessing to those currently struggling. I paraphrase the Apostle Paul, I give thanks and praise to God for Jan and this ministry everytime I think of her.”

“What a breath of Christian care this place has. It' s staff are all so kind and caring. They offer and do whatever they can to help in all situations where a need arises. Never condescending or too busy to listen and offer the kind of love that only Jesus could possibly inspire in this blessed group of people. They are truly compassionate. God bless them all.”

“Gopuff industries: This company is unscrupulous ! Do Not buy anything from them ! They do Not care where their money comes from & even people who don't have accounts with them are charged hundreds of dollars with no recourse. Thier customer service is a joke. They are not even remotely concerned about clientele. Actions speak louder than words & this company has no pride . They're just thieves stealing hard earned people's money . You reap what you sow & eventually this buisness will go under with practices like these . Please if you get any unauthorized charges on your card from this company STOP your card ! They will clean out your account & they won't even hear your grievances .”

“Sally is very professional, very knowledgeable and how to take care of those babies. She loves those little guys like they were her children. With her expertise, dedication, love of her work, you know you could not ask for anyone to do all that she does to make sure that everything is done exactly for the best of that animal and for the new owners. She takes the time to tell the new family what to expect how to take care of your new family member and answers any questions that you have. She's available always if you have any problems or questions when you get home. I have never in my 60 years worked with anyone as efficient as she is. When you get a pet from her you will know that everything has been taken care of.”
