Just got off the Chat Line with Capital Mortgage of TX. Nobody likes paying mortgage.. nothing your doing cartwheels over. However, I needed help with mortgage info and got the best Customer Service Agent on the line. Ladies and Gentleman I present.. Shannon Lively!! Today, with all the robotics taking over.. it’s good to know there’s still really good old fashioned customer service out there. She was kind, patient and prompt sending my info to me! Wouldn't recommend to anyone the just cashed one of my payments the first week of June and sent another the last week for June then I sent full month payment on July 2nd I and I use chime banking to send business check so instead of having to pay for money orders and then mailing that in every twice a month. So I opened a chime account just to be able to send business checks to this company on July 9th I get a certified letter and it has the last payment I just sent in for June in it and not to mention they just sent me my business check back with a letter saying to pay this amount buy the end of July with what I sent them that week the amount they wanted was only a hundred dollars more than what I just sent in so I call them and asked if they got the full payment I sent on the 2nd July and was told they returned that one to I ask why and they wanted to get me set up for a federal program that would make my behind amount current and then said I wouldn't have to make any more payments for a few months so u just sent me money back i just paid six dollars a price for the two business checks i sent in this week not mention the amount I sent them was$ 1500 and the letter saying i had to get $1657 paid before the end of July but u set me my checks back and had an agreement with there call center I was sending another thousand on the fifteenth so 2500 they were getting for July agreed to the same day they sent me the letter saying to have that amount paid and they sent back my July payment of 1000 already so now I have to try to cash these business checks I bought from chime and they use a bank that's not in my area I feel like they are refusing payment they accepted and cashed a check 3 weeks before why because I think they thought I would be going to do that federal program that I don't need or want. I have no problem paying this bill but they are actually returning my checks now and Iam taking it as they are refusing my payments and they have suspended me from there portal I can't even look up my past payment history or anything now thanks again they sent my payments back before we even talked about the program which Iam sure a federal program will have a half of an inch stack of paper work again Iam actively trying to pay everything I just don't see were they can refuse a payment to put u on a federal program that I was never even informed about till July 9th so the first time I heard of this they already denied and sent back my 1500 payment before they even talked to me about that program

I have paid my mortgage faithfully since my divorce. I am a Combat Veteran who has fallen on hard times and needed just a little assistance. They hurried and found any loophole not to help me and basically gave me the cold shoulder without any other options. If you can go elsewhere! Please! I’ve never missed a payment or have been problematic. Shame on you , Capital!

First time home buyer beware!! you do not want this company buying your loan. Long story short, Forced into bankruptcy because of the non compliance and deceitful tactics of this company like telling me a wrong sell date for forclosure sale, Not giving me a reinstatement amount so I could avoid forclosure and not telling me about money I could have used to help pay that reinstatement fee. CFPB complaint has been filed and I have attained legal counsel.

Definitely would not recommend this company. I financed my mortgage with another company and, due to circumstances that were out of my control, I was off work and without a paycheck for a couple months. The mortgage company that I was with at the time went out of their way to work with me and didnt even charge me a late fee for past due amounts. Sadly, they were also in the process of closing and selling off their loans. Without any warning I was told my account (which is now only 44 days old with this company) is now 4 months past due, and that they will not even accept a monthly payment from me. I was given 2 weeks to come up with over $8,000. It's always sad to see a company that actually cares about people go out of business while the ones that only care about themselves go on to thrive. The only good thing I have to say about this company is that they have at least one person that tries to help. I dont know about the others in collections, but I can say that if you ask for Nancy Lopez she will try to help you as much as she can.
Update 3/26/24
Changing from 1 star to 3 stars. Just received an email stating that now we can do a payment plan. Kinda sad that it took a 1 star review to get them to be willing to work with me, but I suppose its better than nothing.

I've had my mortgage here for over 10 years they have always been great. I want to specifically call out Iris in the Loss Draft department. She was so kind, patient and helpful in assisting me with an insurance issue. She provided me with excellent customer service and made the entire process super easy. Thank you Iris!

Capital Mortgage has been our lender for over 7 years and we have been very happy with them. Their online texting option is very convenient. It quickly puts you in contact with someone who can answer your specific question. Just recently, Cynthia very patiently walked me through some paperwork I needed to fill out and send to them. If I could give them 10 stars, I would! Friendly and efficient! Highly recommend

The people at Capital Mortgage Services have had my account for pretty much 3 years. I would not want to do business with anyone else. Always amazingly nice, professional, and they will work hard to make sure you have all your questions answered and are 100% satisfied. 10/10 would recommend 100 times.
