The owner greeted us propmtly and was easy to talk to. He helped my husband find what he needed and custom fit a hat for him right there. They have a nice selection of conceal carry vests and boots, as well. We will return!

I have bought hats and boots from this guy the owner he's pretty cool this store has quality Western apparel not like these chain outlets right now he has a selection of Stacy Adams shoes incredible dress shoes the real Stacy classics I was very impressed with these shoes I I definitely recommend this store

Going around town to different shops looking for a custom hat. Couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. I was told to go checkout Branding Iron. Went in the next day and found this 6X hat that he made. Asked for a brick top with a JB brim. Added the horse hair band, and it came out exactly how I wanted it.

We are always well taken care of at Branding Iron! Excellent felt hat with great service and exactly what I was looking for. The owner was patient and shaped my hat to perfection. He has so much experience and knows what he is doing. We will be back!

I am visiting from Houston and thought I would stop into a local boot shop. Boy did I pick the wrong one. The guy that runs the place seriously needs some major work on his costumer service skills. I'm assuming he was the owner. I asked what his hours were and he said he only opens shop when he feels like it. Acted like I was bothering him by shopping at his establishment. If you can call it that. I had him shape my hat, which he did crooked. I shrugged it off and even bought a pair of boots from him. The whole time he was pompous a*** Acted like I was really putting him out. Even though I was the only person in the store. Needless to say it was unpleasant experience and I will never return. It's a shame because everyone else I had meet in Lubbock up to this point and been so kind and courteous. I guess misery loves company. Save your money and self respect and go to boot barn....

Good selection of belts and boots but the hats are where it's at! Gentleman working there was helpful in showing different styles to this first time cowboy hat buyer. Wore it to the grocery same day and got my first compliment from a fellow afficianado. Overall a great shop and will definitely return next time I'm in the area.

Incredible customer service at an authentic shop. Shop owner had no problem figuring out my size and teaching me what I needed to know. I’m saving up to get a custom felt hat made and can’t wait for the day I get to walk out the door wearing it

So this place although you don't see it is much more a hat shop. Yes he's got clothes, boots, belts, buckles, wallets, and all that stuff. But it's a more limited quantity. I'd say his real business is probably hats. He can actually make you any hat you want in his shop, in any cowboy style and shape, big brim or smaller brim, whatever crown you want, and any whatever X you want from blanks. He can even reshape your existing hat and clean it up if it's gotten a little worse for wear. His hats are nice and if what he has isn't enough he will get you what you want. Not many local type shops do that sorta custom stuff anymore. He's pleasant to do business with as well. Not all shop owners are that attentive and nice about making you a happy customer these days and he is willing to order whatever you want that he can get.

I had been looking for a pair of reasonably priced cowboy boots for my neice. Found what we were looking for quickly. The owner assisted us, he was very knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommend The Branding Iron.
