I recently had an unfortunate experience at Fitness 1440 in Longview, Texas, which left me quite disappointed and deterred from joining their gym. Despite having signed up online for a complimentary 3-day pass to trial the facilities, the interaction at the front desk was less than welcoming.Upon arrival, I approached the reception where a staff member was present. I explained that I had registered for the free pass and was eager to start my trial. Unexpectedly, the response from the lady at the desk was not only unhelpful but also confrontational. She accused me of attempting to "screw [her] over 10 dollars," an accusation that was both confusing and embarrassing, considering my intentions were merely to evaluate the gym's environment and services before committing to a membership.The situation was not resolved in a satisfactory manner, and I was denied access to the gym facilities. This interaction was particularly disappointing as I had hoped to find a local gym where customer service matched the quality of the facilities. Unfortunately, this initial experience has made me reconsider whether Fitness 1440 is the right choice for my fitness goals.Overall, the unwelcoming attitude at the front desk was a major deterrent. It is important for all potential customers to feel valued and respected, and unfortunately, my experience was far from it. I hope this feedback serves as a constructive critique, emphasizing the need for improved customer service to match the promising aspects of Fitness 1440’s offerings.

I am 71 and think this is the best gym I have ever seen for Seniors!Staff is the greatest!Absolutely Love the girls that work here.

Very clean and has nice equipment. Not so big it's overcrowded but big enough that there isn't any problem getting on equipment or having to wait long periods of time. Friendly staff and non judgemental atmosphere among members. Very affordable as well

January 31, 2024. Went to check on possibly getting a membership here. When I talked to the guy at the front desk and requested that I look around to see if this gym had the equipment that I needed. He told me that he could not do that without first signing up because if I got hurt, they would be responsible. Normally a gym would show you around but I guess this gym did not want my money.

This is a great gym the staff coming the members there are smoothies, and everyone is always friendly and helpful. If you need help with anything I love this.

Awesome gym. I travel for work a lot and always check out local gyms, this is one of the best by far! Super clean and tons of machines you don't normally see. Staff is super friendly as well!

LOVE this gym! Some like groups, I like privacy, this gym is exactly the atmosphere that I love! No marketing bs, I can get in, achieve my goals and get out. Staff and smoothies are amazing! Highly recommend!

Treated my mom like trash and made her feel less than human. Unprofessional, rude, & inconsiderate staff and management. My mom left in tears. Do not sign up here. Awful experience

DO NOT GET A MEMBERSHIP IF YOU ARE OVER WEIGHT. Wait what? Isn't that what a gym is for? NOT THIS ONE. Staff is rude and unprofessional. Treated my mom like SH*T and even giggled at her when discussing a possible member ship. She walked out in TEARS. The owner/manager is rude and inconsiderate-obviously can not control their staff or members. Made snide comments about my moms Medicare and Medicaid insurance (KEEP IN MIND SHE IS ON DISABLITY!!!) I am just distraught and so angry about this. DO NOT sign up here. This place doesn't know how to treat human beings.

Ive met most the people who work at this gym. All seem professional, educated. And i have personally seen most of them work out after they get off work. They still answer questions and help after hours. I have no clue why the negative post. Anyone who thinks a gym should cater to you. Your wrong. You get what you put in. I go everyday. Its highly clean and sanitized. Only issues we have is some dont rerack weights. If thats the only downfall then the place is doing well. Wanna work out and meet decent people. Fitness 1440 on the loop is where its at. This review is based on my experience and im not a employee or related to the gym in any way.. Keep up the great work!!! Working out that night shift!
