Have never in my life had dealing like the one at the Gilmer Rd location. They will lie and say they are out of office but if you walk in there the person is. Will excuse themselves in the middle of a business transaction to handle personal problems. Most UNEFFICANT BUSINESS DEALINGS IN MY LIFE!! This entire branch needs a revamp or retraining of ALL EMPLOYEES. Never an issue at the Loop location. They should be embarrassed.

The staff on Gilmer Rd. were extremely rude and refused to help me open a business account with them. After going back and trying my third time they informed me of the minimum balance requirements for a business account and I was shocked to see that they expected 1000 in the account at all times or I would be penalized. There were other negatives as well, but that one was enough for me to gather my paperwork and escort myself out. I went to Texas Bank & Trust and had a very painless and pleasant experience. They had my business account up and running with my checks deposited, my debit card, and my online banking all set up and ready to go within 10 minutes. I will never be going back to East Texas Professional Credit Union ever again for anything!

When i deposit a check in my checking account and they want to put a 15-day hold on it and they want to put it in my savings and have to come back and put it in my checking they want me to jump through Loops just to put my money in their Bank I'll be finding another bank soon!!

If you have hours on your hands to do simple bank tasks then this is the bank for you. If you would like faster service, I would recommend somewhere else.

I've had my account for.... let's just say a while. If it wasn't for Mrs. Kathy and ETPCU, I would still be kicking rocks after my divorce. They gave me a chance and even coached me on how to rebuild my credit. Y'all are the best!!!

Lots of extra fees. They didn't like the electronic check that Target used so they took my payment back they caused me a big problem. We are in process of looking for a new credit union. I had made that same payment for several months and all of a sudden it's a problem I'll go elsewhere.

ETPCU has been my bank since I was in high school and they have been there for me through a lot of rough times and good times, I started to ruin my credit at a young age and finally got tired of being told no, so I reached out to my loan officer and she set me up with a list of accounts that I needed to pay off and in what order, included all #'s to reach them to try and settle or pay my balance. It took time but I did what I told her I was going to do and i payed almost everything off except repo.. I have rebuilt my credit to a good score and it's still climbing, I now have two motorcycles and a car through ETPCU, and have had several personal loans. I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for this bank, and me growing up of course! But they put me in the right direction and rewarded me for doing the things I said I was going to do and always paying my bills on time, I'll forever be a member.

You never know what your balance is. It's up, then it's down, then it's way up, then it's negative, and surprise! Overdraft fee! I've had as many as 25 balance changes in one day, without even using the account. Then it's negative. No one can seem to explain why, and they refuse to remove the overdraft fee, despite the fact that we don't even have overdraft enabled on our account. I hate this bank.
