Took my friend up there today cause she was throwing up and blacking out. She’s had history of fainting spells since she was 13, but it’s getting worse now that she’s two months pregnant. They drew blood and did an ultrasound and she’s been waiting for over 5 hours now. I’ve gotten good care up there, but apparently high risk pregnant women don’t get the same care. I’m very dissatisfied with the situation that’s currently going on.

I was taken to this hospital in the ambulance..my BP was like 175/110 my pulse was like way over 130.. they got me there and no one came and hooked me up to anything checked vitals etc. I walked to the nurses station and my nurse said she had to do report before tending to me...everyone was just standing around doing nothing. Worst place ever. They eventually had to admit me overnight. Got moved to the 3rd floor but the doctors and nurses up there were great. But the people working in the E.R should all be fired.

People are waiting so long they are leaving without treatment. Nurse says it will just be a minute, and almost an hour later you’re still waiting. No sense of urgency and people are not seen based on priority but on when they arrive.

I'm at the emergency room and it took a long time but got all my questions answered. The employees are so friendly and made me feel so much better the doctors talked me through my diagnosis. I was freaking out and the doctor was so caring. Best hospital in San Antonio Tx.

By far the worst ER I have ever been in. Short staffed,Dated and very dirty. Urine samples in random areas. The staff are touch and go. Luckily when I had my child in we were lucky with very caring staff and an excellent X-ray tech. The other time was atrocious. They are obviously short staffed and their lack of rooms is not conducive to the size of Longview and surrounding areas not to mention the amount of cross contamination. A hallway is not appropriate for the nurses and drs to do their jobs diligently nor for the comfort of already uncomfortable patients. The hospital board should be absolutely ashamed at the state of this emergency room. The ER itself is in emergency need.

EDIT: I am so mad at myself for coming back here!!! My mother in law fell and hit her face BADLY! Her eye is swollen shut- Cynthia, the RN at the entrance did not take my MIL'S injury seriously and was VERY rude and loud with me when I asked how long it might be until she was seen. One of the ladies (non nurses) told me to go ahead and grab a wheelchair for her since she was about to pass out and Cynthia told me not to, that she didn't need one. I told Cynthia, very nicely that we would like to speak with a different nurse from now on since it wasn't working out with her and she continued to argue with me AND my hurt MIL!!! She was rude, loud and in our faces even when we asked her multiple times if we could speak with someone besides her. I will be be filing a formal complaint. Hopefully the rest of put visit will be better than the start!I usually get amazing care here- not this time. The doctor was amazing (Gregg, not sure if that's his first or last name) but the nurses (Tammy E and Alex V.) were extremely unkind and rude. I was there with my two year old son who was having trouble breathing. The nurses barged in on my private telephone conversation and basically called me a liar, did not introduce themselves or even say hi to my son. Tammy's back was towards us most of the time so I could not hear her and felt like she didn't care. She tried to give my son meds with zero explaination of what it was or why it was being given. She argued with me about wanting to see the doctor before giving my son meds, She was annoyed with my questions and rough with my son while checking his pulse. They were just going through the motions and acted like they just wanted us out of there. They didn't check on him, ask if he needed anything and argued with me when I tried to discuss things with them. I was in tears when I left because nurses are supposed ro care and there ones did not. By the way- it was not busy in there either- they had plenty of time to give us good care and they chose not to.

Avoid if at all possible. I do not have time to write all the reasons I have for giving this a 1 star review but just take my for it. If you don't you will most definitely find out why.

I have been treated extremely well during my two recent visits. I understand the pressures on nursing staff and don't expect instant service. But they have always been there when I needed them.

Dr. Mohammed Ghoweba has made all the difference in my stay. He may only be a resident, but he seems brilliant and has excellent bedside manner. More doctors should be like him.

I can’t believe the way this hospital is us !!!! My husband has been there twice and is in pain. The ER dr referred us to an oncologist . But the hospital will not send over the referral EVEN THO on my discharge papers it says to be seen by him. The Er dr was great but the other staff and policies they have are ridiculous. The hospital staff told me to call my primary dr and have him send a referral bc they don’t do referrals !!!!! The Er dr tells me one thing and unhelpful staff tells another ... I called the oncologist and they said this is the only hospital that plays this game. Will not be back !!!!!
