Absolutely the worst electric company. They spike the bill over $500 for us in any kind of hot or cold weather. Then refuses to work with you on payments after they told you to pay and then they could do something. Then they say oh that was not the correct information. Could care less if your power is shut off. Some are just the rudest people.

Absolutely trash. Seen them out by my house 3 times since the storm n ntn had been fixed when I call I'm told it's one powered line down but my neighborhood isn't a priority. Honestly yall A holes need to loose your jobs n find better coordinators

Being a monopoly, I am astonished that no one is calling your company out on your failed attempt at maintaining your power line right aways. Mother Nature topples the trees and limbs, but you allow those hazards to exist. I would love to see the data on your expenditures for this over the last ten years. I would be willing to bet that it doesn’t increase at the same rate as corporate salaries. I applaud the men and women who tirelessly work to restore the grid, but have no sympathy for the decision makers who allow this to continually happen by their lack of preventive maintenance. Count your blessings that you are the only game in town or I would do my business elsewhere.

Horrible customer service won’t even answer the freaking phone and let the automated system to do it. I don’t wanna talk to robot. I want to talk to a customer service rep.

If you have to use swepco make sure to keep your confirmation # when you pay. I payed a final bill, then I payed a collection agency, and now I'm having to pay for the 3rd time to get my electric back on.

I have had several very positive experiences with this SWEPCO location in the last twenty years, the latest being a few days ago. I always regret waiting to call SWEPCO when I have an issue because they arrive quickly, devote whatever resources are necessary, and are friendly, happy people.Recently, I called SWEPCO because my air conditioner stopped working. Yes, my air conditioner. It is on a thee phase connection and I determined that one of the phases was out. I called SWEPCO's toll free number at 7pm and assumed I would be without air conditioning for a day or two.No. SWEPCO arrived faster than the police. From the time I finished my call through arrival of the truck was about 8 minutes. That's fast. And the person who arrived was cheerful and got the phase going in about ten minutes. He explained that if the transformer was out they would replace it that night. Luckily, it wasn't.That's real service.I have also visited the yard to pick up a new meter. A SWEPCO employee was called me and told me where to go, let me ok the parking lot, and loaded the meter for me.Super friendly folks.

Great place and people to work with. Always prompt, don't leave you waiting. Always professional. Safety minded with firm policies. They have two employees double checking every load to assist and oversee every load is 100% right.
