“I visited Phillip Simon today based on his 4.9 rating and the character of his reviews. I found that he exceeded my expectations both as a friendly and knowledgable watchmaker, but also with regard to price. My watchband had broken and there was a spring loaded bar that held it in place. Well, when it broke, a piece of the bar was stuck in the hole where it sits. So he had to get in there to dislodge the broken piece before reattaching a new bar. In the end, even though it took much more labor than a usual bar replacement, he still did not charge me for the service or the new bar. I tried to offer him something, but he insisted that he does not charge for that. So I told him I'd repay his kindness by leaving him a good review. He earned it!”

“Where to begin... was referred to me by a friend of mine after I had mentioned that I had lost an earring belonging to a set that has much sentimental value to me. Knowing that I would need to make a new jewelry piece with the existing necklace pendant and earring, I went to see the team over at Shetler and immediately knew I had gone to the right place. I consulted with Pilar who knew how much I cherished my original earring and necklace set. I explained what I was imagining and was able to walk around to look at the gorgeous pieces in store for some inspiration. With creative minds from Pilar and Blake, we came up with a ring design that brought out some emotion because while I know my mom (who gave me the original set) will be disappointed that I lost a piece, she'll love the creativity that went into the new ring. I am super excited for my one of a kind piece!”

“I had an heirloom diamond necklace from my late grandmother (that was actually her original engagement ring) that I brought in to be remade into a more practical piece of jewelry I would be able to wear on a daily basis. Oscar et al created a beautiful solitaire and eternity band that is not only more modern and my own personal style, but more wearable than the necklace ever would have been. He was also able to create both of these in less than two weeks. Jackie was also incredibly helpful in the design process. Superb customer service. Simply incredible! 10/10 would recommend. I will be back to rework other heirloom jewelry into more wearable pieces.”

“I was visiting San Antonio at a prime time and discovered that JA had a promotion going where if you bought two charms, you got the necklace or bracelet free. Amazing deal! Anyway, James Avery is a great place to pick up gifts and charms to mark trips and milestones. The store on Lookout Rd, is small and it felt a little quiet. The service was great, as I was greeted right away and when I approached the counter, several associates were available to assist. I knew what charm I was looking for, and she helped me locate it and made suggestions on other charms that would compliment it. I ended up getting the Virgencita charm and the Texas serape charm. The associate let me try on the necklace to ensure I liked the length, and then carefully packed it up with the pouch. When I mentioned it was a gift for my mom, she provided me with the gift box and asked if I wanted a card. I always appreciate the extra service and attention when the gifts are being packed. She reminded me of the sale dates and provided me with a pamphlet to take, in case I wanted to order online. The experience was great and positive. Highly recommend this location.”
