The Uber side of this is a ruthless business. If you have a problem with your car they say tough luck. Literally told me to stop “hounding” them when I hadn’t even been “hounding” them at all. He somewhat apologized later but it goes to show how they operate. I was asking a totally new question and just me walking up was a problem. Totally disrespectful. It’s like he was trying to prevent it from happening before it did because they probably screw people like me all the time. “You’ll get a car when we figure out our end.” Now me, my wife and 3 kids are without a car for several days and I can’t even make my living and have transportation for us to do all the essential things so I’m literally paying for it for nothing. No sign of actually getting a car at any particular time. I just have to wait in the dark. When I asked about a refund, they told me I have to finish the week before we can even discuss the possibility. So they’ll make you pay for the days you don’t have the car then you can discuss it? If a Hertz, employee reads this, it’s not personal, their policies are simply unfair and unethical. Update. Never got a refund. Literally was hung up on multiple times before I even explained my situation. Waited 30 min multiple times to talk to someone. Uber and Hertz are horrible. Uber has been sued dozens of times in some big cases and it continues to this day. Hertz almost went bankrupt and someone bailed them out a few years back. Horrible, unethical companies

Unfortunately they hit my car so, i had to rent a car in the mean while.Waitting for my car to get repair.What a great experience getting a rental dream car. MACH-e is the right one to enjoy for the last 3 weeks. Sadly i had to return it. Lol SAGE the manager and her team are a great example of what customer service is all about....5 golden starts for this location....period!!!

Dirty cars, unorganized location, poor signage to find the door to enter. Nobody greets you, 5 employees in the back laughing while one unprofessional guy is taking care of a line of customers by himself. I had to walk to the back to of their office to interrupt their party and ask for some help to get my rental.And wouldn’t you know it….if you book the day of…all of their policies change and you can’t use a debit card to rent. Thanks for having me waste 40 dollars in Ubers to come hear no. You could have just told me that on the phone instead.These employees do not care. Hertz does not care. Use Avis or getaround or turo apps.

This location does not honor reservations. When they don't have the car that you reserved they charge you to upgrade. They wanted to charge me more than $200 more than my quoted reservation.When I asked who I could talk to, they gave me a 1800 number that was impossible to get to a corporate agent with.Hertz is TERRIBLE!

Find another place to rent a car. These crooks wait till the day before your trip to call and let you know that they don’t have a vehicle available for you. Rude and no empathy for the situation they put you in. There’s a reason for the 2.6 star overall rating here.

The check in process was easy and the people here were super nice. However, I received an extremely filthy car that smelled like cigarette smoke. Additionally, the change oil light was on the whole time. Also very hard to find the building as there was no sign - had the people at the Hertz Uber place tell us it's next door.

Horrible customer service. Location and the overall company was not helpful at all. First and last time renting from them. Also, the vehicle they gave me was filthy! It smelled like dirty laundry.

Had reservations for a month. When I got there they had lost the key to the vehicle. Would not make it right but wanted to charge me more money for an upgrade. Never will use again

I usually dont do this, but you need to watch for these people they will tell you they dont have what your make reservations for and they offer you an upgrade that you end-up paying for with heeding fees. The vehicule was filthy and it looks like the previous driver had a large dog and chewed up one of the door panels. When I called to ask if they have a replacement they hang up the call. Please see pictures.

Had the worst experience with the Bowie Marriott location..customer service 1800 was no help at all..I was completely dont with Hertz..seems like his company in doomed..what kept me around was one of their amazing associates Sage..she was so empathic and patient with me..not one single person even cared how my day went..but she listened to all of my frustration I had not only with the company but just in general and turned how I felt completely around..if im being honest I had just had a complete breakdown dealing with the Bowie location and the customer service number but she really did make me feel at ease..If it weren't for Sage Hertz would never ever see me again

SCAM!!! We had booked a small rental car from Hertz. When we arrived, we were informed that this type of car was not available, that we would have to PAY TWICE AS MUCH for the range above or take an electric vehicle! THIS HAPPENS EVERY DAY, THE LADY AT THE OTHER WINDOW HAD EXECTLY THE SAME PROBLEM. No professionalism on the part of such a well-known agency, this commercial practice is illegal and akin to theft. Incompetent person (25 minutes to copy a license number onto his computer) and INFECTED at reception, who tells us this without even apologizing, speaks to us while looking at his COMPUTER. If you do not have the selected vehicles you must upgrade customers at NO ADDITIONAL COST like any travel professional worthy of the name. We will file a complaint.
