I stopped using Driver's Edge even before it was bought by private equity and changed its name from Affordable Automotive. But I was in a bind, busy with a move, and needed my daughter's car fixed ASAP. It was overheating and needed a new thermostat.
Brian called me two hours after drop off and quoted me $2400. That's a lot for a 17 year old car. He said in addition to the thermostat, the radiator and water pump were "seeping".
I asked if they could just do the thermostat to get the car back on the road. He said no, they couldn't, the tiny leaks affect the pressurized coolant system. While this is indeed an issue that should get attention, this was NOT the problem at hand.
So I paid them $100 to do NOTHING other than attempt to extort me. And I had to fix it myself with a thermostat from Amazon, which I did NOT have time to do. Good news is I saved $2371.
This is the kind of place where you take your car in to get a flat tire fixed and they insist you have to replace your entire suspension.

I took my 12 year old truck in to get the air conditioner quoted because it quit working. I suspected the evaporator coil being the problem because it smelled of ink/chemicals when I got in one day. Drivers edge was able to repair it No problem in one day - they did a fantastic job and even showed me the nasty coil and where it leaked.
