I’m leaving this review in hopes it can help curate a more welcoming environment for others who may walk into this establishment.
When I walked into this thrift store (9/13/24) I was with my two young children, they were quiet and not causing any issues as I had one in a stroller and the other in my arms. It is a small place, which I didn’t realize because it was my first time, and upon entering an older woman working there was putting things away. She didn’t say hello, and as I was trying to get by, she also was, and was viscerally upset that I was in the way. As I tried to move around, apologizing for being in the way, there was nowhere to go so she kicked an item that was on the floor out of her way so she could walk by, all without saying a word.
I continued through the store to the kids section where my daughter started pushing a plastic lawnmower toy (marked at $1) almost instantly another older woman who was working, came up and said “we don’t allow that here-are you buying this item?” I replied no and she looked at my 2 yo daughter and said “give that to me please” my daughter replied OK and she took it from her and went and put it away. If there are others reading books do you walk up to them and ask them to put them down unless they’re buying them?
I left immediately after.
All in all I am not impressed with the general treatment I received by the employees of this store, whether employees or volunteers, as followers of Christ we must “let our good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise our Heavenly Father” and as a Christian woman, if I felt that unwelcome I only PRAY someone who is not a follower doesn’t walk into that store and is treated by believers in such a way that it stains their world view.
I left feeling very disappointed in my experience and treatment from these two women specifically, yet am still giving a 3 star rating because I believe in the good deeds this church as a whole is doing and am hopeful this was an isolated incident. I will not be returning and would not recommend this place to anyone I know.
Please be more kind and gracious to others that walk into this place.

Very nice little store. But my wife sometimes said that the prices for used items were high (I can't judge). But I went in to have a look and found it small and lovingly decorated for a shop like this.

The only thrift store I go to now. Lowest prices in town and when shopping here you are supporting a ministry and pantry. Good cause.

What treasures you can find here at great must have prices! The staff goes above and beyond to keep it looking smart and they're so helpful. And yes, all for a good cause. God is so good!

Love Love Love this thrift store. Came on a Wednesday and was helped by Ms. Joyce and Ms. Red. They catered to my precocious toddler and had excellent prices. Went back on Friday just to say hi!

The best place in town to buy cast iron fry pans, Dutch ovens or the (rare) carbon steel skillet!
