There were no empty carts for walk-in customers. All their carts were full of pick up orders. How are you suppose to buy lumber without a cart available?

I've had plenty of good experiences at this Lowe's, but I'm very frustrated by every recent special order and delivery I've tried to get. Both of my last deliveries (for which I paid $80 each) have been bungled and resulted in my going to the store in person to get things fixed. This last time, they only delivered half of my order (even though the special order items had made it to the store) and gave me an extra door that I did not order. There was a very helpful lady in customer service who helped find the missing items but I still had to go to the store to return the extra door and get the windows I had ordered. They refused to refund me the delivery charge "because the truck already went to your house" so I ended up paying for them to bungle their half of the deal. If you're going to charge a premium for delivery you'd better make sure you're actually delivering. Taking customer's money and then failing your obligations (and refusing to take steps to make it right) is not a great way to build loyalty. The store has lost my construction business.
Edit 7/22: changed from 2/5 stars to 1/5 stars. I was told here to contact corporate customer service only for them to be of pretty much no help whatsoever. They offered me a small gift card that was a fraction of the delivery charge. It is opprobrious to charge $80 for delivery, change it to a pick-up order, and keep the money.

Big store, lots of stuff. Although, I've noticed a couple items now that are not on the correct aisle per the website, which was a bit frustrating. Had to wander around the store to find it 3+ aisle over.

Hard to imagine someone working at the contractor checkout who has no idea what “board and batten” is.

This store is fabulous. Staffing is plentiful; it is always easy to find cheerful help to locate an item or answer questions. I consistently find whatever item I want to buy in stock when I need it. Their return policy is easy to use if I have purchased more if something than my project needs. Their prices are competitive . Easy access in and out of store. Handicap accessible for parking, shopping, and restrooms.

Takes forever to get help and then your help doesn't know what they're talking about it makes you wonder if they even work there you try to call and you get a freaking robot and they transfer you to nowhere you shouldn't have to spend an hour on the phone trying to talk to somebody and still not get anywhere they're not what they used to be low Now sucks

I went to the lindale store this morning and stopped at the paint center. I looked for valspare paint that we bought a few years ago. I didn't find the type I was looking for, so I asked the guy at the counter. I walked up and said excuse me can you help me out. The guy didn't respond, I guess he was busy looking at the computer. I waited for him to respond, when he did, I felt like I was bothering him. I showed him the type of paint I was looking for and showed him the mix design tag for the color. All he did was put the name in the computer and nothing came up. He said we haven't sold that type since he's been there for the last 3 years. He told me I didn't buy it there. I told him I did by it there because thats where it was sold to me. He didn't check the mix design at all, he just said they font have that mix design. He didn't even check to see if they had any color close to it. I turned around and walked away. I said thanks for your help. He, smart Alice remarked back at me. I said that wasn't a compliment moron. Then I went to the sprinkler department and was helped by Juan. He was a big help. He could teach the big guy in the paint department! Not a happy customer @

Never amazing experiences but never horrible. The reason for the poor review is from a recent delivery of a washer and dryer.
The old washer and dryer had been removed and no leaks had been detected. After they installed, one of the installers said I had a leak at the cold water junction. This was strange since no leak was detected.
The installer said he could fix it or I could call a plumber. I asked him what he thought it was going to entail. He said a simple gasket which he had. At this point, I was wary of this turn of events, but since he said he would fix it, I agreed. He said, "Alright, it'll be $30.00." I immediately declined his services, shut off my water, and waited for them to finish.
As soon as they left, I checked the cold water junction, turned on the water, and no leakage was detected. We have run nearly 12 loads through with no issues at all.
I'm not a plumber by any means, but I am a mechanic and understand how things can be manipulated for a certain narrative. As soon as they left, I called Lowe's. A customer service rep heard my complaint, acknowledge that the events were weird, but offered no recourse except to reach out to Customer Care. I called customer care multiple times. Someone would pick up but never answer. This was not his first time extorting unknown customers and won't be his last.
