So I have been waiting and with holding this review to try to allow Ulta to make it right in some form or fashion other than having me walk out of the store but it has been over a month and after being told the district manager would reach out to me and still nobody has I want to share my experience so nobody else goes through the trauma that I did. So I have included before pictures, the hair goal pictures and the outcome pictures of what happened to me. I went into the salon on 7/9/24, I got there 20 minutes early for my consultation before we started. I showed the stylist (Alex Estes) my goal for my hair (the tri tone) she said it may be difficult and we may not get it exactly that color but it’s doable. I said that’s fine! As the process went on she said my hair was taking to the bleach very well and we might actually be able to get it that color I said fantastic! The longer it went on the more nervous I got especially after she put the toner on my hair and said it made her nervous because it always looks darker once the toner is applied (I am aware that’s normal) she tried to make me feel better by saying but it always turns out great!…… well it didn’t. I went from a yellow blonde to this gross dish water/ash blonde. She noticed my face drop and said she could see I’m unhappy and asked how we could fix it. I told her this is no where near the color I wanted and it was about 2 shades darker and duller than what I wanted. She then said the bleach caused a lot of damage and we would need to cut some more off of my hair. She showed me about a quarter inch and I said that was fine. She then cut about an inch more off of my hair after cutting about 2 or 3 inches of dead hair off dry in the beginning (which the 2 or 3 inches made me nervous but I knew it was needed and agreed because I knew my hair was dead). My hair was not THAT damaged until AFTER the bleaching process and now still to this day I am having a very hard time helping my hair recover and regrow from all the damage she caused. She had the manager come over and chat with me and the manager was extremely rude from the get go, never once said her name and told me she can either comp it or I can come back the next day to get it fixed but they didn’t have time today to fix it. I was leaving town the next day. I was in the bathroom in tears because of how horrible my hair looked. She not only damaged it so bad but she also started thinning out my already thinning hair and made it completely uneven and now even more broken than when I came in. The manager asked me if Alex had told me that this was going to be a multi step process and I told her no that she told me it would be a little difficult but not impossible and it may not be the exact blonde I was hoping for but we could get pretty close. The manager then told her in front of me that I will never be allowed to book again as if I was the villain when I’m the one sitting there in tears and not once did I ever get an attitude or was rude to anyone there. I informed her of the massive damage that was done to my hair and she then told me that Ulta doesn’t use harsh products and their products don’t cause damage…… well my bleach stained shirt and severely damaged hair says otherwise. She told me I can leave and then was comforting the stylist as if I was this horrible person to her when I did absolutely nothing wrong. I have tried to reach out to corporate to bring this to their attention not because I want anything in return but I don’t want this to happen to anyone else. This was extremely traumatic.

Honestly only writing this because it keeps me up at night sometimes..
Went in one time and I guess they thought I looked suspicious? Of course the employees would stay close and offer me a bag to hold my items, but I had an online list I decided to go in and pick myself. Midway a male flamboyant employee came up to me and said “So, what’s going on?”
It was in a pretty demeaning tone, it was like I was a kid getting scolded and I felt super embarrassed afterwards.
I ended up paying for my stuff and leaving after the lady at the counter took a longgg time to ring me up. Again, it’s one of those interactions that keep me up at night and cringe. Glad other people have had good experiences, though.

This store is close to my house so I always go there and it’s always a good visit. But this time I had a lot of questions and doubts as I am moving to more natural cosmetic and skin care products. Luckily, I met SOPHIA and she gave me time and did not make me feel rushed! She Helped me find all the new products I was looking for. I hope to see her more often in the store! Do recommend her for any questions or doubts as she is very knowledgeable and helpful.

THIS IS THE REVIEW you're looking for to get your brows done! Now, I am the one who's sensitive about my eyebrows. My brows are sparse, and not everyone knows how to get them right and teach me how to keep them right. I can't just let anyone touch them, I'll let them look crazy if anything. Lol. However, PAIGE the brow stylist is Top Tier, Top Shelf, Top Chef, 5 Michelin Stars good . I might tell you a joke, but I'll never tell you a lie, plus I'm writing a full-on review. If you're looking for someone to trust to touch anything on your face, 10 out of 10, I recommend Paige. ?

Super-friendly and knowledgable store! Paige at Benefit tinted and waxed my brows - amazing results! My skin usually gets very red and uncomfortable after waxing, but there was barely even a tinge of pink after, and it disappeared very quickly. I have been in several times to shop and always amazing recommendations!

To Anthony JProfessional, and very knowledgeable of its passion. Walking in, Anthony came up and welcomed me. As a male, Anthony made me feel as walking into a wine venue. I was needing some guidance to find the perfect gifts. The plan was for two 2 gifts, however, by Anthony's recommendations, and guidance in the fragrances showroom, I couldn't help only getting 2 gifts. I ended up getting 3 gifts. The total fragrance I got today were 5 perfumes for woman. In the end, Anthony, was able to show me, men fragrances for myself to add to my collection. Which I will go back soon.
