Boy do I hate this store. I only occasionally shop here because it is just blocks from my house. When I check out, I consistently pay 15-20% more than I would at Kroger. Items of often expired. Prices at the register often do not match what the signs say. The "deals" are convoluted: sometimes you can get the deal by just putting in your phone number; sometimes you have to go on to the app and download a coupon; for 50% off deals you have to have someone walk over and override the full price to give you the deal, which isn't very convenient for self checkout. The instore Starbucks is almost as bad. Don't even get me started about that place.
Two thumbs down.

7/22 edit, my refund request was accepted for my order placed on 7/14, but it’s now been over 5 business days and I still have not received it. Tom Thumb has now officially stolen food and money from me. In this economy, 40$ is the difference for meals for my family. SMH.
7/16 edit, Editing my review because the owner responded, which I find is a very admirable thing to do. I’m still waiting on my refund it’s going through the process - Perhaps it was someone’s first day and they dropped the ball. All will be right as long as I am refunded, no harm done! This Tom Thumb is closer, produce is higher quality than other name brand stores, so I thought I’d make Tom Thumb my store from now on. I had over $40 ($40.81) worth of groceries missing from my pick-up order, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. I hope they learn from this and ensure to check the order before bringing it to the customer.

Beware. The promotion signs are confusing and you are charged more at check out. Check your receipts. While I was trying to get the refund, staff Jas don’t know her math and was short over $20. Manager Jessie was called. Jas still short on my refund a second time.Took more than 30 min to finally fix. Jas was blowing me off each time and only apologized when manager showed up. Jas needs retraining for attitude plus math skills.

Was at the self checkout when I typed my phone number wrong, so I needed someone to come over before I checked out. The manager came over and in the process, asked me to do the survey on the pin pad and then proceeded to say "I'll just get this out of your way." He then typed into the pin pad for me and completed the survey on my behalf rating it 10/10, and highlighting every option available as the reason why. Pretty obviously not an anyway accurate survey at that point when it's a MANAGER AT THE STORE DOING IT FOR YOU WITHOUT ASKING ANYTHING ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE THERE, but I guess his upper management wouldn't ever know and assume it was legitimate. I said something along the lines of "that kind of ruins the point of the survey if you're doing it for people" on my way out and he didn't have much to say. Absolutely ridiculous, blatant, and obvious manufacturing of a better image to his bosses that, which obviously is undeserved. I would have left a positive survey anyway, but that put such a bad taste in my mouth that I had to leave a review. Pretty insulting to do that so obviously, and as someone that has worked that position in a grocery store before, Is something I couldn't fathom doing period, let alone blatantly in front of a guest. He's lying to his bosses, clearly, so I hope they see and address this.

Freshness control is bad. On May 31st, I purchased ground beef at full price only to discover it was meant to be used by May 29th.

Ethan was great and helped me find the items I was looking for. He was very attentive to all of the customers looking for items and even knew that one of the items I was looking for was in the back. He went and grabbed someone to help him but he is truly a fantastic employee.

Done going out of my way to support this store. Every single time I go at least one item rings up incorrectly. This isn’t a little accident, it’s intentional. I use to let it go but now I stay and wait in line at customer service to get it corrected or refund.. I’m done. I was constantly taking pictures of the price to try and help save myself some time but no more.. Tom Thumb obviously doesn’t care to keep customers, I won’t worry about staying a customer. This particular Tom Thumb is awful anyway, expired foods, produce is horrible at this location as well.
