Was a great spot when Dr. Burke was on staff. It's quite messy since new management. Our dog was misdiagnosed 2 times and ended up requiring surgery on their back leg. Additionally, the office organization is out of wack since the new takeover.

Where to begin...I live in Plano and have been taking my 13yr old pitbull to a vet near my house. He had all of a sudden started vomiting and having diarrhea so he received X-rays, blood work and stool samples to test after 3 weeks of being sick and not eating. My vet told me my dog looks great for his age and that he only had bacteria in his stool and that there was nothing more they could do. They referred me to a specialist who charges $300 just to speak to a veterinarian which is insane so my dad suggested I see his vet in Lewisville named Dr. Mandava. I called the Lewisville North Animal Clinic and after telling them I needed a second opinion and everything that was going on with my dog...they made us an appointment the same day to take a look at him. We agreed better X-rays needed to be taken since the first ones at the Plano vet were terrible. Dr. Mandava even used their ultrasound machine to see if he had any evidence of a tumor. Dr. Mandava let us back in the exam room during the ultrasound and pointed out my dogs issues right away. Sadly he has stomach cancer . But I'd rather know what is wrong than a vet telling me my dog is healthy for his age and yet looks like he is in pain. I felt like Dr. Mandava wasn't going to stop until we found out what was truly wrong with him. Now I'm able to keep my dog comfortable with pain meds until it's his time to go. Dr. Mandava even called me the next day to see how my dog was doing with the medication and if there was anything else he could do. I'll now drive 30 mins from Plano to Lewisville to see him knowing how much he cares about animals.

Dr. Mandava is a very gentle and caring vet. He took extra time and listened to all my concerns. The staff was wonderful, too.

These people were fantastic. I have a dog dying of congestive heart failure and everyone was wonderful. I called hysterical because the last vet just wanted to push this test and that test and told me that I just need to end his life. CHF is a progressive disease and every day we get with him is a gift. Dev Mandava was so good with my precious fur baby. My dog has never gone towards a vet, he runs from them. He definitely doesn't sit down and pet them and it made me feel like he truly cared about my angel. My last vet was cold and rude and didn't look at the fur babies as if they were precious but more like property and not like a living breathing thing. I'm so glad I switched to someone who truly has a caring heart and soul. Taylor on the phone was so good with me and (i'm sorry I don't remember the other girls name) she was awesome as well. i will definitely go back and have found my vet as long as I have my fur babies, he will be my vet.

Beware of this animal clinic. This poor dog came back scratched from both sides of her face after a vaccine appointment. The owner was never called or notified of the incident and only found out for herself after brining the dog home.

I brought my dog here because of the amazing reviews. The few times Maya was here Dr. Burke attended her, she was awesome and I was happy. I brought my dog perfectly fine on January 26 2023, for a vaccine and she came out scratched from both sides of her face, mind you I was never told they scratched her nor that they had put a muzzle on her until I called. The few times Maya was here Dr. Burke attended her; three vaccines on the same day and she never tried to bite anyone nor she was scratched.. 10/26/23 I brought her in with Dr. Johnson for a single vaccine and she was very nervous like I've never seen her before that she even escape from her collar and came out of the back of the room they had her in, towards me, after that they took her back and I heard her cry for about 3secs and I didn't think much of it because I thought it could be the vaccine that might of hurt her which is normal. Afterwards I was told she try to bite Dr. Johnson "not an aggressive way, but a nervous way"; I was surprised because she's such a sweet playful dog and she don't bite unless something is done to her. On the way home I noticed blood from both sides of her face! She was scratched from the face and I was NEVER told until I called and the receptionist said "oh I think I know where that might of been from." I was told they put a muzzle on and that "might of" been the cause of the scratch but I honestly believe a muzzle wouldn't leave a big scratch nor did I know it could hurt pets and if so I would of appreciate to be alerted. That being said this was also her first time ever with a muzzle on which was traumatic to her. I understand they could struggle with pets but them being professionals I expected better treatment/precautions and immediate communication. I've heard of places where if throwing a ball is necessary to make them feel comfortable they'll do that or if they need to put a muzzle and are struggling they call the owner for help and not force it upon them. if it was an honest mistake & I would of been alerted immediately, I would not be so upset and angry but they never apologized nor offer to bring Maya in to check what they did to her. Maya's been very upset after that visit. Definitely changing vets. I feel terrible

We bought a house in large part to have dogs. The house we bought was just down the street from Lewisville North Animal Clinic. But, before we went I asked all my neighbors, that had animals, who they used. ALL used them. And not just because they were literally within walking distance. I wish my physician and dentist were as on the spot about answering calls and making appointments!!!!! I get so angry when a call goes immediately to answering devices, only to be called WHO KNOWS WHEN. Not here. The friendliness of the staff, and vets contribute to a relaxed visit. The last of Feb our dog NYX figured out how to open the front door and took off down the road where he was hit by a car. I really thought we might have to end his life but the Vets there helped by making his operation affordable to us and did what they could to repair his fractured bone and lacerations. Our multiple visits since to check on the progress has only enforced how wonderful these folks are and how MUCH they truly care for your animals. I think Nyx knows as well. Our first visit, before the accident, I had to drag him in. He did NOT like the smell of a Vet office. Now he cannot wait to go in. The same with our other dog Ishtar. She must be restrained with effort to keep her from wanting to go in the office and greet them all. Nyx is almost out of his splint and we are thankful every day for not only the great work done, the time given for explanations of what it being done, how to help with his healing, the affordability for the treatment, and how well they treat our beloved dogs. I do not know how it could be better.

Dr. Legg and his staff are the absolute BEST! They treat my Pomeranian, Michael like family even though they aren’t his favorite people lol (see pic). Michael had to come see them for sinus issues, yeast infection in his ears, and to get updated vaccines. The cost is VERY reasonable compared to other vets and the quality of care is outstanding! Lots of experience and knowledge here!! I HIGHLY recommend this clinic!

I definitely wouldn't recommend my dogs to this place . I took my baby pitbull here to get stitches and his ears look at since everyone highly recommended it and said it 5 star rating! drop him off and in 20 mins they said my dog is dead!!!! apparently I think they overdose him when they put him under to operate on his ears. ! they could of just numb it because of the infection. doctor said he didn't know what happen??? he just drop dead ??? then when I pick up his ashes and his paw print they said they didn't have his paw print or his leash. back and forth with safe heaven . ...he was our child!! I don't have any kids! and now my child gone!! all they can say is I'm sorry. we have to deal with depression, lost and pain for the rest of our lives now because of this!

Took my pup here to get his knees checked, the doctor touched his leg for all about 40 seconds and said he’ll be ok over time. They gave him some pain meds charged the bill and sent us on our way. Took him for a couple well checks, still nothing wrong. I noticed his leg was hurting more than usual last night but he hadn’t done anything to cause it. Took him to the Flower Mound vet today and the poor guy will probably need surgery on his legs. Was told it’s very obvious there was something wrong and he has a lot of pain yet the Lewisville vet didn’t say anything. Very sad for my pup that he has to be medicated and treated for tremendous pain and angry that this could’ve been prevented. We now have to pay an insane amount of money to have my pup feel better. Very friendly staff however always good when dealing with shots and meds. I just want my buddy to feel better.

Dr Burke and staff are wonderful. Caring and knowledgeable, they go the extra mile to make pets and people alike comfortable during their visit, and ensure that any diagnosis and medications are fully understood. They truly care and love animals. I highly recommend!

I have had consistently good experiences here, particularly with Dr. Burke. She has treated my elderly and very fragile Pomeranian mix competently and very compassionately. Even when he was very sick, she didn't give up on him and found ways to make him comfortable and he's still kicking at 18 years old. Her office also did a really great teeth cleaning on my other Pomeranian. She's really great with skin issues, and my once bald Pom is a fuzzball thanks to her. The receptionist and vet techs are also freaking amazing! They're so sweet to my old man Snickers and my super nervous Ladybug. I really can't recommend them more, and I'm super picky about vets.

We have been using Dr. Aycock for 20+ years for to many dogs and cats to count. Always great care by everyone at the clinic.
