February 2024 by Javier T.
This is the up-teenth time that we have shown up for a workout on a Sunday @ 0700, 0745 and 0830, and the Club is closed. There is plenty of staff just hanging (Congregated) during the entire week. They are not walking around the club checking on things as they should be. There should be at least two staff members assigned to be present on Sunday's to be a back-up just in case one can not show up to open the Club! We returned three times today the 25th of February, 2024. We should be getting compensated for at least one month for the lack of staff availability!

Beware of their monthly membership charges. My wife was being charged $13.53 per month on our credit card, and I was being charged $10.83 per month from our checking account. Why they used our credit card for my wife's account is beyond me. We caught the discrepancy and have been told my wife's monthly charge has now been corrected and will be the same as mine. However, they refused to refund the $2.70/month overcharge for the last nine months. Hopefully they will lose many new prospective customers over the paltry $24.30 they have overcharged us, since it is obvious they are not a reputable company to do business with, in my opinion.

Man! I wake up at the a$$ crack of Dawn to go to the gym, my life is chaotic, I'm pregnant work full time own a business, and I've gone a few times in the morning to get there and no one has opened up the gym on time! My time is so valuable, this is extremely inconvenient and rude. This morning it happened again. Please get it together!

The place has good value for the price but they never maintain their equipment, you better bet that there will always be atleast 4-5 pieces of equipment broken and unusable with zero plans of ever repairing them. They will just remove it eventually and never even bother replacing it with anything else. The staff there is nice but it’s absolutely ridiculous how they never bother fixing their equipment. They also won’t ever bother changing the hours back to how it originally was. Best to just pay the little bit extra and go to golds gym down the street.

Great gym and great price point. Wish they were open 24 hours. I would even settle for them being open on Sunday.

I’m so tired of the complete lack of maintenance on your machines, especially the ellipticals. Almost the entire back row of free stride machines have been broken for almost a year.I have informed management and literally shown them 1 by 1 how each is broken and not only has nothing been done in 8 months, but even more have broken down since. I won’t continue to pay a membership fee for a gym that doesnt fix its own machines.

Came in today only to be told the kid's club wasn't available, this has happened several times since I joined a couple months ago. The kids club was the main reason I joined this gym.During my cancellation, Caleb, helped me through the process. While cancelling, I was told by a lady who's always very nice, that they were short handed. This location mismanages their employees and there seems to be a lack of training, guidance and support of the staff. Not a place for me or any body who wants to use the kids club consistently during the hours they advertise. The staff however has been consistently very nice, upper management needs to step up.The facility itself is good with lots to offer and I do like that it's clean.

I recently joined Fitness Connection and I must say, I am extremely satisfied with my experience so far. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with a friendly and helpful staff who guided me through the sign-up process and gave me a tour of the facility. The gym itself is spacious and well-maintained. There is a wide variety of equipment available for every type of workout, from cardio machines to weightlifting equipment. I never have to wait for a machine, which is a huge plus. One aspect that sets Fitness Connection apart from other gyms is their group fitness classes. They offer a wide range of classes, including yoga, Zumba, spinning, and HIIT. The instructors are knowledgeable and motivational, creating a fun and energetic atmosphere. I have tried a few classes and really enjoyed them - they definitely help me stay motivated and push myself harder. The locker rooms are always clean and well-stocked with amenities such as showers, lockers, and hair dryers. The staff does a great job of keeping everything in order and there is never a shortage of supplies.Another great feature of Fitness Connection is their personal trainers. I have had a few sessions with a trainer and I can confidently say that they are experts in their field. They helped me set realistic fitness goals and created a personalized workout plan that targets my specific needs. They are always available for guidance and support, pushing me to reach my full potential. In addition to the exceptional facilities and services, the price of the membership is very affordable compared to other gyms in the area. I feel like I am getting excellent value for my money.Overall, I highly recommend Fitness Connection to anyone looking to improve their fitness journey. The combination of a well-equipped gym, variety of classes, knowledgeable trainers, and affordable prices make it a top-notch fitness center. I am extremely happy with my decision to join Fitness Connection and I look forward to achieving my fitness goals with their support.

Not open Sundays STILL!!! They never answer Google questions. If budget is an issue, SHOW US what you're doing to keep members and then raise the price $2 or $3 a month! Who wouldn't pay an extra $5 a month for: OPENING ON SUDAYS!, Equipment maintained, kids club being open. come on!! Your garbage reviews because Fitness Connection doesn't have their priorities straight keep you from growing your gym and you will put yourselves out of business entirely by staying stupid. Learn. Oh wait! The CEO Patrick Flanagan was 24 Hour Fitness' Chief Financial Officer! LOL He helped put 24 Hour Fitness out of business and he's on his way to take Fitness Connection out too! Rofl

The hours are limited with the gym and now the kids club. I decided to switch gyms and now they are giving me the run around for cancelling. I've called the 800 number only to be left on hold for 30 minutes at a time and then when I am number 1 it conveniently hangs up. I called the gym itself and they said nothing they will do unless I come in person. They make it very difficult to cancel and I do not recommend this club when there are so many better options in the area.

Extremely DISSATISFIED with #fitnessconnection. I've been a member since 2015. No problem but, once I finally decided to purchase personal training. Around 2019 even though I felt it would be a terrible decision. But company had this deal which was obviously too good to be true. It seem pretty easy. I signed up for a contract for PT for a year. Unfortunately this was Right when Covid hit. So the gyms were shut down my membership was frozen. While fighting Covid I had a cancer scare and fought the following year. Fast forward January 2021! Called fitness connection customer service to check on my PT sessions again I was told my sessions were in good standing. I could just go to any location and speak to a personal trainer. Sadly due to health restrictions after looking at the location. I was skeptical because Covid was still pretty fresh. I'm immune compromised now. I had just been released from the hospital for having 20 blood platelets. I literally fought for my life so trying to get fit in a facility like that would put my health at risk. I ask the customer service representative Jessica if I could freeze my sessions again til Covid dissipated. I asked would the sessions expire she told me no all I had to do was call and get them activated once I felt safe the cleaning protocol was being taken seriously in the gym. I was a gym flower so fitness connection didn't look classy like most gyms I was used to. #24hourfitness and I also worked for #LAfitness. Those gyms are up to par completely corporate wise and also having a basic level of good customer satisfactory. I paid 609$ a month for 15 session in 2019 but the contract was canceled due to Covid. The gym also canceled its pt partnership with #Paramountfitness. Which left my account floating in the wind. I just wanted to use my sessions or be refunded. This company is trying to make me pay an additional 300$ for sessions I've never used. IT MAKES NO SENSE! I FEEL VERY MISTREATED MISHANDLED, DISRESPECTED, and DISGAREDED. This process is giving me MENTAL ANXIETY AND IT SUCKS. In such hard times I still tried to work with them, Sadly nothing is resolved. Beware Don't get the Training it's completely stressful. I have been bamboozled by fitness connection three times now I will be canceling my membership. I will be filing a complaint every day that I can type until the situation is resolved and have yet to get a session set or even a clear reason as to why my account is so messed up. This company keeps asking for More money but giving SHIFTY SERVICE. I really did like fitness connection but this process has been DEVASTATINGLY PAINFUL. I feel like they just want my money and not help get me healthier. It is now July 23. Every manager I speak to has been helpful but corporate has been telling them no in assisting me. I have officially spent $800 for sessions I have not received. This is not a good look for a company stealing from its customers????? Each time I seem to get close with having the situation resolved. fitness connection. Does something to the manager that I'm working with because Taylor was fired, and the current manager is being told no left and right, even for trying to figure out a small solution. It was told the DM says this was a she said, he said situation from corporate WOW!! but I have medical records contracts and pay documentation. Taylor and Micha of Allen appreciate you for trying to help. But it's only so much the good employee can do. In a HORRIFIC situation with a MANIPULATING COMPANY like #FITNESSCONNECTION.

One of the worse gyms to come to my neighborhood. Membership is cheap but their guest visitation policy is unnecessarily strict. It is clear that they prioritize company model rather than people. I was part of the world gym that was there before fitness connection came, and it was much better run.

I'm unhappy that I hastily signed a contract for a year. I'd love to cancel. The machines don't look taken care of. Either the pads are coming off, the wires are about to snap or the dumbbells are falling apart. The weights are ALWAYS everywhere. I get that the users are supposed to put them back but they don't and so then neither do the workers just standing at the front. I always have to take the weights I need from idle machines or from the floor. They have a sauna but I've never been in it so I can't add anything to that. They have TONS of cardio machines. There is a separate women's room with machines and dumbbells and even a cardio room which is cool. Just wish it didn't smell in there. There's plenty of parking. The sanitation stations are always stocked so thats a plus. The hours kind of suck. Always close at 10 mon-thur, at 7pm Fri/sat and closed on Sundays. And their basic plan won't even let you go to another location. Not impressed.

Opening late yet again... This is ridiculous, we all have jobs and our time at the gym is limited. I just don't understand why this continues to happen! Different days different people opening, it doesn't matter it's like no one is held accountable. Not just this location the one in Denton does the same thing.. ADDRESS THIS ISSUE!! AND WHAT HAPPEN TO OPEN 24 HOURS? COVID HAS BEEN DONE AND OVER, ITS TIME TO GET BACK TO NORMAL.

This gym is good when everything is working, but they need a new sauna machine. People have ruined the old one because they pour water on it. They really need to maintain the machines. All the seats on the leg machines are cutting my legs up because the seats have all split open. I'm not throwing shade at this gym, but it needs some serious loving. Overall it's a good gym for $10 a month. Would recommend just please send out maintenance to check every machine
