Blue Pearl doctors and staff are very caring and understand the stress pet parents are under when seeking medical care at their facility. They move you to a room as soon as possible, and keep you informed throughout the visit what is taking place with your pet. We have been happy to find a place to take our dog when she needs emergency care.

Our cat received a large cell lymphoma diagnosis from pathology at Cornell University, so we saw Dr. Bourne on Wednesday, 10/23. Dr. Bourne squeezed us in without a prior appointment, which is so appreciated, because we had been waiting 2 weeks for the results from a different specialty hospital. Turns out that other hospital actually had the preliminary results from Cornell much sooner but didn't call me about it at that time, so I didn't have time to make an appropriate appt. Dr. Bourne got us in anyway since LCL is very deadly, and she was able to make the time.
Dr. Bourne was so sweet, friendly, and empathetic. She is very personable and everything I could ask for in a doctor. She explained everything in detail, and we went over treatment options. I had already researched options prior to our visit, so I was prepared to go with the CHOP protocol. After hearing all her expertise, we went with her recommendation to start COP, instead, as well as L-asparaginase as an extra cancer fighting boost for our kitty. He tolerated the treatment well, as he was given Cerenia and Benadryl as a preventative approach to side effects.
Jess, whom works with Dr. Bourne (oncology nurse?), has been just as amazing, warm, and friendly. Jess facilitated our last minute appointment, was there to intake our kitty, gave him treatments, and has been amazing at communicating with us via text prior to and after our first visit. Dr. Bourne and Jess make a wonderful team, and I feel like we lucked out getting them as our oncology team.
The rest of the staff has been very nice, too, greeting us with smiles, and they are always friendly on the phone. The hospital is very calm and quiet during daytime hours when there are hardly any emergencies coming in. This is ideal for my cat since he is very anxious. The hospital also has a certification on the exam room wall we were in that states they are accredited as a Cat Friendly Practice by the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP). That's very reassuring that he will be getting the best and calmest care while receiving his chemotherapy treatments.

The doctor and her assistant were extremely knowledgeable in helping my older cat with a cancer diagnosis from my regular vet in a consultation. I will be back for the additional tests. They have access to a compounding pharmacy in order to get different meds that could help my cat that my normal vet doesn't have. Thank yall very much.

This place only cares about money. If your dog needs chemo, they want you on a chop protocol which cost over five figures (over $10,000). They won't administer chemo to my dog, that is extremely benificial to him, because Dr. Bourne thinks it's not a good idea. This facility once changed a quote on me after speaking to the doctor, making it hundreds of dollars more. The new items were things like one needle and monitoring my dog while they administer chemo. One visit, my dog ate a bandage off his leg after he had received chemo, I guess that extra cost doesn't cover making sure they don't eat bandages off when they're in the back receiving chemo. Then they charged me for x-rays because we were scared of a blockage. They came back and gave me an in-house credit for the x-rays, used some of the credit that day for more x-rays and the rest is now magically gone. Dr. Bourne won't administer chemo now unless I sign back up on chop protocol.
Don't trust these people. Find somewhere private. This business is a corporation making money off your heart ache!

Doctors and Staff were nice and friendly. Very quick and easy appointment with the neurologist. If it’s not an emergency, and nothing is to worry, they are backed up months for specialist appointments, so book ahead and book early! You won’t be disappointed. I was in and out with out any problems on wait time even though I was accidentally 30 minutes early! PS. If you have a hyper or overly anxious babe, ask for a room with shades or possibly less windows. (Although some pets, like mine, love the views!!)

The quality of the service was great but the 9 hour wait time was a real pain (literally) in the butt!

I have never met such kind and patient doctors before. A special thanks to Dr. Lindsay and Dr. Simmon. Their time is incredibly valuable, but despite my limited English, they never rushed me. I haven’t slept or eaten in three or four days because of my dog, and I feel so fortunate to have met them today! I’ve taken my dog to many hospitals in the U.S., but none compare to this experience. Their medical expertise is outstanding, and knowing that I’m a student and haven’t had a chance to get insurance for my dog, they did everything in their power to help. From the front desk to the assistants to the doctors, everyone made me feel so warm and cared for. These compassionate doctors are truly deserving of every blessing that comes their way!!!❤️❤️

Can't recommend this place. Went in on a Sunday night with a sick pet. Got into a room right away, but then things started to go wrong. It took an hour for a vet tech to come by to triage. Over three hours later we're still sitting in the room. There were other people poking their heads out looking for anyone from the staff, but it's a ghost town. I finally had to call them from inside their facility just to find an employee. Sadly, we gave up. It was more stressful to continue sitting in that room with no ETA and no communication from staff. At that point, it made more sense to go to our regular vet Monday morning than subject our pet to that any longer.

I took my cat to Blue Pearl today, knowing that regular vets would charge a few thousand dollars and end up referring me here anyway. Out of the three cats I’ve brought in over the years, this is the first time I’ve walked out with one alive. The staff has always been incredibly kind, caring, and professional.
While waiting in the lobby, I was torn up to see how other customers treated the staff. So many people with an undeserved sense of entitlement being so rude to them. It’s disheartening because these workers deserve so much better.
