It is amazing to walk into a bank and be called by name. Kendrick Cooper and his staff are personable and very friendly. It’s also nice to be able to call the branch and not be sent to some call center in another country where they hardly speak English.You don’t find that in banks anymore. I hope Texas First Bank never veers from what they believe in and that is making the customers feel welcome. I was with Chase for over fifteen years and have no regrets of switching to Texas First Bank.

TFB has charged $70 in "RETURNED MAIL FEES" despite the fact that my addresses are up to date and my account is enrolled in paperless billing.

My paycheck is written on this bank. So I go to cash it in person and was told I would have to pay 1.5 percent to do so. I have never heard of a bank charging to cash their own checks at their own branch. You can cash checks all day lon in the street for 1 percent. Needless to say, I walked out and did a mobile deposit at capitol one and pay nothing. Ludicrous to say the least. No wonder these thieves are going belly up!

Their employees are poorly trained and make contradicting dishonest statements. Don't expect much help when someone steals your debit card and makes fraudulent purchases.

Professional, prompt and quick!!! I’ve been going to this same location for years (16 plus) and they have always been great to me. Not only have they done a great job with my checking and savings account they have also helped me with loans from time to time over the years. The local option is the way to go… way better than the big banks like Chase or Bank of America…. Texas First Bank for life!!!

Doesn't deserve any stars. Went to Utah and had a fraudulent transaction on my card, called them to report it & they tell me I have to come in person which is a problem because I'm in Utah for a month. Makes no sense, when I get back to tx I will definitely be closing my accounts

I wanted to set up an account and I was immediately helped by I believe her name was Chelsea... then an issue came to my attention (something that happened on my part). But she was able to best assist me in a timely manner and as best as she could. Customer service was 9 out of 10

The negative reviews I've just read in no way reflect the service I've received from this branch. I first connected with them two weeks ago and from Tyler to Kassandra to Courtney, I have received attention, time, and service that far exceed any bank with which I have dealt.They have gone above beyond what I would expect from a bank, even going so far as to work beyond normal operating ours to look out for my business. We're not even a big company. They had little to gain from serving us in the way they did but treated us like we were as important as even the biggest client. They answered the call when we needed support and delivered.I suggest anyone looking at other reviews consider reaching out to the bank directly. I'm confident that you'll find any negative reviews were based on personal biases and/or expectations that good service means the bank compromises their values and fiduciary obligations to fit the reviewers' unreasonable, unethical, or possibly illegal demands. Reach out to the bank before relying on the subjective opinions of reviewers that are not vetted and have nothing to support the veracity of their claims.We've all learned this lesson time and time again. Relying on the words of someone hiding behind a keyboard isn't wise. Reach out and judge for yourself. Im sure as hell glad I did.
