The newer Moen 1222 cartridges are just a little larger in diameter than were the old ones. The woman at the register in League City was familiar with this problem and I was told to sand the cartridge for a few seconds until it slid in as it should. She was absolutely correct.
If I had gone to a big box store I would have been told something else.

Shop here is you like to call beforehand and verify they have the fitting you need, only to be told they don't have it after you waste time driving there.

My first time and customer friendly service.I highly recommend.I've been to Ferguson's 3 times now for my plumbing and electrical needs for projects and as of recently yesterday and I can rightfully say this is my favorite go tobecause they are customer friendly and professional especially Elaine who is very courteous and helpful. I'm recommending this business to the community for all of your plumbing and electrical parts.

I purchased a water heater via the phone, because it was difficult to register online. I speak to one representative, trying to see if a Bradford white is in stock. They say it is in stock. Then I call back to make the purchase. A different representative says this brand is not in stock. My handyman is already headed towards the store. Later I was informed that the Bradford White water heater is actually in stock. Absolutely ridiculous.All this could have been avoided if they had the phone numbers to the local stores instead of having a corporate phone.

TERRIBLE customer service. The guy that helped me barely wanted to get out of his chair to answer some questions about a sink. This place is more designed for your everyday plumber that knows what he wants/needs and not your average consumer needing guidance.
