CBA was very courteous and had a nice lobby for me to wait comfortably while they changed my oil. I would highly recommend them for an oil change or any other issue you have.

I recently had a frustrating experience with Christian Brothers Automotive in League City. My experience involved a major issue with my cars engine and the way it was handled left me disappointed and questioning the integrity of their service. My car began having problems, I took it to Christian Brothers to diagnose the issues. They found a Technical Service Bulletin related to coolant intrusion and informed me that there was coolant in the 3rd cylinder. Based on this, they deemed my engine as "bad" and estimated nearly 8000 for the repair. Naturally, I was shocked by this diagnosis and the big price tag. What really raised red flags for me was their claim that they had performed extensive diagnostics on my vehicle beyond just a code test. However, when I asked for written documentation of these diagnostics they couldn’t provide anything. This lack of transparency made me doubt the thoroughness of their examination. To make matters worse they included the TSB in the estimate sent to my extended warranty company, which led to an immediate denial of my claim. In my opinion mentioning the TSB to the warranty company was unnecessary and ultimately worked against me. It felt like they didn’t consider the impact this would have on my ability to get the repair covered under my warranty. During my visit, I was charged 168.00 for a diagnostic fee related to the check engine light and another 168.00 for a traction control light issue. Christian Brothers claimed the traction control problem was due to a front wheel hub issue, and while they did get approval for that repair, the situation with the engine took precedence. I could have paid the $100 deductible and saved on the diagnostic fee to get the traction control issue fixed, but with a potentially catastrophic engine problem hanging over my head, I had to explore all my options. The most frustrating part of this ordeal was the back and forth between Christian Brothers, my extended warranty co, and myself. The warranty co requested that I pay an additional 200 for a leak-down test, but Carlos, my service advisor at Christian Brothers, advised that it was unnecessary and wouldn’t definitively prove whether it was a head gasket issue or a bad engine. Then, the warranty company wanted me to spend 1,000 on a tear down of the engine to find the exact cause of the coolant leak money I simply didn’t have.
Throughout this process, Carlos became increasingly agitated, both with me and the warranty co. His attitude turned rude, which added to the stress of an already difficult situation. Eventually, I decided to pay my bill and have the car towed back to my house to weigh my options. After spending a week without a car and missing work, I decided to take my vehicle to another repair shop for a second opinion. I shared Christian Brothers diagnosis with them and inquired about their diagnostic process. Their fees were cheaper, and they assured me that they wouldn’t charge extra for additional tests to accurately diagnose the problem. This second shop performed both a leak-down test and a pressure test. They found coolant in cylinders 1 and 3 and diagnosed the issue as a bad head gasket. Unlike Christian Brothers, they didn’t jump to the conclusion that the entire engine was bad, giving me hope that the problem might not be as severe as initially thought. I would advise anyone considering Christian Brothers in League City to proceed with caution. Their diagnostic process lacked transparency, and their communication with both myself and the warranty co. was frustrating and unprofessional. Including the TSB in the estimate without considering the repercussions felt unnecessary and ultimately led to a denial of my claim. I was left with a hefty bill, no clear documentation of the diagnostics performed. If you find yourself needing car repairs, especially something as serious as an engine issue, I recommend seeking a second opinion before committing to any major work. In my case, it saved me money and provided a more accurate diagnosis and I got approved for the head gaske

I took my car here back when General Motors was on strike. I actually paid $1600 for a Cadillac converter and I had to bring my car back about four times before my warranty expired. I brought it back the fifth time. And literally after my warranty was expired my engine light came back on. It’s now 2024. My engine light is still on and everyone keeps saying I need another Cadillac converter. I will never bring my car back here again after paying that amount.

After looking at my car, they determined it was a Honda extended warranty problem. Told me to take it to honda. Never charged me and were very honest with me. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is they had my car for 2 days.
