“Hotel check out 11am. Boarding 5pm. Had a few hours to kill. Found this place. Blast from the past. I'm a gen x'r. Lots of games from the 80s. 3 versions of donkey Kong, defender, flogger, space invaders and asteroid. A bunch of pinball games too. Food was a great value too. I got a cheeseburger and fries. Fries were shoestring, crispy and well seasoned. Cheeseburger was really good for a $15 meal. Would definitely recommend if you need to kill a couple of hours”
“Great venue for a wedding. Lovely setting on a lake and the facility is nice and well maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. There's plenty of parking, and although it's a tad hard to get to, it's worth the drive.”

“We are glad we chose to have our wedding at The Laurel. It was nice having the catering done in house. Chef Justo was incredible to work with (more on Justo and catering in a separate review). The Laurel was a beautiful space, and the team was highly competent. We always felt heard and accommodated in our meetings with our day-of coordinator, Maggie. She was also quick to reply to phone calls or emails from us with questions or concerns. And then on the actual day, she helped the whole thing run like a well-oiled machine. The venue worked with us to make our wedding as custom as we wanted, including our getaway vehicle and allowing my sweet dog to bring our rings down the aisle. My only negative was that we were considering having a completely dry wedding for family reasons, and while they were fine with that, they still required us to meet the beverage minimum, which would have been next to impossible with only juices, sodas, and water. That being said, we did still choose them for many reasons, and we did the basic beer/wine package. Another thing to note for decorating purposes is that you may not attach things to walls, rafters, or pews using command hooks, tape, staples, or anything else. All in all, we were very happy with our choice. Everything ran smoothly, and the staff are highly competent, upbeat, and pleasant to work with.”

“We’ve been here a few times and always have such a great time. You can spend 1 hour or several, working on a project. There’s always good music to sing along to, there are snacks, hundreds of art ideas, and it just creates a fun vibe for kids AND adults. Shanila is usually here and is such a fun host with lots of ideas if you feel stuck. This is affordable and a must-see place to go if you have kids and are looking for something different to do on a lazy afternoon.”

“This was my first time here, and it was pretty awesome. We went to a graduation in a smaller room, but it had everything you needed from a sink to plenty of seating included outdoor seating. The building was nice and had plenty to offer indoor and outdoor. I didn't get to see everything, but will definitely go back for the park and pool.”
“We rented this venue for our daughters Sweet16. Raj was so easy to work with and very accommodating. She made the whole process of organizing a party painless. All the details from decor, to cake stand, to bartender, to servers were all addressed nicely. DJ Preet was fantastic and our family had a wonderful time with 100+ attendees. “A fun place! Beautiful scenery and well kept. I attended Market Days this weekend, met some wonderful crafters and enjoyed some wonderful specialty coffees as well as a full menu for lunch. The kiddos enjoyed a bounce house and a petting zoo. They even had a well stocked bar selling alcoholic drinks of your choice! The afternoon rodeo was the frosting on the cake! Highly recommend Circle R Ranch!”

“Went to a birthday party, it's a great place. They have a lot of rooms for parties, like 5 or 6 rooms. The staff is super friendly, I had to switch a size up and no problem. Lights and music is perfect. Equipment is in good condition, can be improved but it's okay. They have arcades you have to pay for and vending machines. They do have a water station, that's really good. Kids are super happy, it's a fun activity you must do in life.”
“Excellent place for any kind of event or party. We had 6th birthday party of my son. Everyone who attended the party enjoyed the place. It is full of activities and have something to do for all ages. Mike is very friendly and he make sure the event is successful. He is not like regular managers or owners who disappear after you pay the money. Mike stays with us like a family member for the entire event. I recommend this place for any type of event. The entire ranch will be reserved for you and you don't need to share with others. Thanks Mike for all your help during the event.”

“Stopped in for their grand opening. The space is beautiful in person. You have to see it to believe it. The floors are mesmerizing. I like there is a separate room with a sink for food prep. Another room can be used as a host room or bridal suite. The ceilings are high which is a plus with a room full of people. The vendors were very nice and shared their information for future events. The owner Ray was kind and answered all of my questions regarding the types of events that can be hosted. Baby showers, weddings, engagements, graduation parties to private dinners. So happy to have a place like this in Denton. Just what we need in our community!”

“We stopped by on our way to Dallas and was pleasantly surprised by all the used and retired sets they had available. You can always find the newer stuff online or at a big box store like Walmart so I love that they have a wide variety to chose from. You can also create your own minifigure here as well. If you enjoy Lego you definitely need to stop by!”

“Good experience. I like their sound. Of the 3 times I have gone there in the past 3 weeks, 2 of the times I have been sitting in a chair with a broken footrest. Worse things have happened, I suppose. Still fun!”
“Very nice theater. Clean and comfortable. Great option to order ahead and just pick up the order after entering the establishment. Would be even better if reclining seats reclined another couple of inches. Also, be careful when picking up the large bag with your order as the drinks can shift. The drinks are in a plastic bag so any spillage is contained and is less likely to dampen any of the food items.
Highly recommend.”
“We definitely had fun bowling and we got a deal where you get a discount on the third game as well as $5 on a game card after certain hours. The only thing that sucked was the lack of smaller bowling balls. The food and drinks are a bit pricey too and had to wait for a while for food to come out. For Denton, it's a pretty decent bowling alley.”
