The staff are nice but the wait time is ridiculous. I walked in at 2:40. My appointment was scheduled for 2:45. There was one other person in waiting room besides me. I was called back around 3:30. Now sitting here patiently waiting for a doctor to come in. It is 4:18. I just heard someone in the room next to me fussing saying this is her second time here this week and once again she has to wait over an hour in a room to be seen. ...so I guess the wait time is common for this place.

READ THIS CAREFULLY!!! Anybody on here giving good reviews as I always say, either work up in that joker or is PAID to say what they’re saying to deflect REAL EXPERIENCES. I had an appointment at 11:15 and wasn’t seen until 2:40 SQUARE BUSINESS! Excuse me, wasn’t called to get into a ROOM, until 2:40! Sat there until 3:22 until the Dr. came in. I was so excited to be seen by a Black Dr, yet the wait time is crazy! Not to mention, the staff all act like they’re taking muscle relaxers or something and got the nerve to talk about extra fees if you’re late. Ain’t THAT a ^^T^^!? Dr Ogwu is a good Dr or is it the Son? The word of mouth information that I got, was about an older guy with glasses.. My visit was with a younger dude that looks like Chris Tucker with the same last name; gotta be his Son. Talks like a Tour Guide at some Safari or something… Nice guy, but the overall service of the office is bonkers beyond this planet. Two ladies in front, one Hispanic and the other is African American; attitude all over the place. First thing you will notice is her forehead sitting under a bad hair due and then the attitude will come into focus. She literally acts like she hates her job and is obnoxiously rude and frowns the entire time she’s there. The Hispanic lady is sleepy and I don’t blame her because us as the Patients in the lounge are yawning right along with her. Sitting and waiting WHY, because the issue of scheduling is over booked; ridiculous! I am getting another PCP! And trust me, DO NOT IGNORE THIS REVIEW, you WILL REGRET IT!

They pack several patient at the same time. Your waiting room wait time is an hour+ then place in a room for another 45 mins. The doctor comes in for 5 mins then send you to lab. Your visit with the doctor & lab is 10 minutes. Poor service. It's all about the money!

THIS IS MY HONEST OPINION:
I've been going to Alpha Medical Center for over 10 years. My experience with the front staff has been great. Their customer service is great. I've seen all the doctors there except the newest one, and they all listen with care and concern and advise what they feel is best. Now, I do wait a little longer than I would like to, but I also understand they are being patient and listening to their patients in the back while giving them the medical attention needed. Who wants to feel rushed by their doctor??? I definitely don't want to be rushed when I get to the back in a room. So, I plan my day in advance to be there a little longer. The good definitely outweighs the bad. I'll take great bedside manners any day over being in and out in 30-45 minutes.

PATHETIC! First off, the office staff is about as tired and ratchet as the service they give. Anyone giving them a good review HAD to have caught them on a LUCKY day! I've had to visit with them a couple of times because I couldn't immediately switch to another Dr after the first time. Figured, maybe it was just a slow day, they can't be this horrible... But NO, the norm IS A SLOW DAY, thus they're horrible! You sit there for HOURS waiting to be seen, yawning and playing phone apps to stay awake. I could've put two kids through College before getting in front of that Dr! And then when you're FINALLY called back to be seen, you might wait there another hour or two before the Dr even comes into the room. But when you go back, they're all just standing around (Drs included), laughing and playing amongst each other. Like, what are you guys back here doing that is taking so long for your Patients to be seen for crying out loud? I asked the Nurse whom was taking my vitals, "Why the long wait?" She goes, "We usually have to fit in people from the previous day because they weren't seen before the office closed." WHAT??? Who actually sits that long? Anyway, I went in for a follow up from an ER visit (which didn't take as long to be seen by the way) and all this Dr did was refer me to another Dr whom WAS NOT IN NETWORK as his "Referral Specialist" should've foreseen with my insurance. But then the second referral wasn't either! I had to find my own referral to get in contact with his "Referral Specialist" whom took another two weeks to get the Dr to refer me to them. OH! Don't let me forget about this part! They charge you for any papers that the Dr has to sign whether it be for Worker's Comp or Short/Long Term Disablity $25 for the first page and then $5 per additional page that has to be filled out. True, many Drs do this, but those are mainly the Drs whom scrap and suck up every penny because they're losing clients. I now have an EXCELLENT Dr with a very welcoming staff and I am in and out with no hassle. I tried to support a "Black-Owned" business and got every bit of ratchet that I hadn't ever experienced at a clinic. The receptionist whom handles the Insurance with them Sha-Nay-Nay braids in her head will make you literally want to pull her big forehead tail from around that desk; every bit of ratchet with a stankin' attitude to match! Trust me, these people speaking about how horrific their experiences were, are not making it up! When you drive past their clinic and see all the cars in the parking lot, those belong more to tthe staff than patients.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS OFFICE!
Worst office experience everytime! Long wait times. You wait at least an hour and half each time, then get called back to wait another 30 mins for someone to see us. They never call perscriptions in on time. I always have to call them and ask them to please call it in already. Not to mention they never answer the phone! Sometimes it's next day because I couldn't get ahold of anyone. They just recently made us pay a late fee from over a year and half ago. We have been in several times since and have never been informed of this. They refused to see my daughter until this was paid even though they have seen her several times already.We should not have came to this office this long but here we are. It's always an issue! Good bye Alpha Medical for good this time!

I have a complaint but it won't matter, this office is always busy. I've come here for years and it's always been the same appointments don't matter. Today though it's way to much I've been here since 10:20am it's 12:50 and I've still not seen the doctor. Worst part, I can't walk out because I won't get my meds refilled.

Worst doctors office ever do not go there. They don’t even know how to give referrals and they don’t know how to help you with your health needs either! Well, they never got his referral either just like the rest of these reviews are talking about so y’all are right and yeah it does take forever to see that doctor he’s a jerk

Good: office is clean receptionist Josie is nice and one of few caring people here! This is the slowest non concerned insurance zoo in Lancaster Tx, the Dr. Ogwu needs to retire he is fast, non effective and gave me a misdiagnosed Heart diagnosis after going to 2 other doctors and heart specialist nothing he told me was accurate or agreed with money, time, insurance spent for what!!!!! This my last time ever coming here my appt was at 11:15 it's 1:01 pm and I still haven't seen him! I tried to take notes of what he told me before he told me put my phone down rude, cocky arrogant, and slow as a mf is what you will get here
