Pretty ridiculous. Had my dog scheduled for a neuter - was told I needed to wait there until after my dog was sedated. I was there at 750am - waited until about 1030. I was told the doctor was late, and then when he was there - there was just chaos happening. I was trying to understand what the plan was for getting imaging on my dog's stomach (due to him eating half of a racquet ball a couple weeks earlier). I had communicated this AT LEAST a week earlier and made plans to have imaging done at the same time as the neuter and dental surgery. I had to re-explain it when I arrived - and then again to the vet tech. Still, after MULTIPLE attempts at getting an answer on what the plan was - I was only told that "the doctor didn't provide an answer yet" and then the next time it was "I could take him to a specialist". At which point, since I was still waiting on the sedation - I asked if something was wrong with the Dr Rocky - like if he was at all distracted or stressed or rushed - I didn't want him to operate on my dog. All I was told was, "I understand that concern". Period. No explanation or reassurance that he was good to operate. So I stated one more time that I was going to leave because I couldn't get a straight answer to what was going on - my dog being pre-drugged and all. Again, I was told, "that was fine". Meanwhile, I could hear the staff talking about a chair in another room that had been peed on or something - and all they did was spray some stuff on it to make it "smell better".
So - I walked out (after having to pay $178 for a blood test that couldn't be repurposed due to their questioning competency). Lampasas "happily" transferred my records to Aztec Pet Hospital - I second the comment another reviewer made - these people literally DO NOT CARE about losing customers.
I was able to be seen at Aztec the same day where the vet ACTUALLY DID SOMETHING about my dog's digestive issue - after MULTIPLE visits to Lampasas Veterinary Clinic for the same thing. I would highly recommend trying Aztec Pet Hospital - and so far as pricing? They are about $400 dollars cheaper for the same neuter/dental cleaning I had scheduled at Lampasas. Friendly staff, clean rooms, knowledgeable doctors - save your money and your time and protect your pets - go to Aztec.

My dog got ran over; Dr.White was incredibly helpful at reducing his pain and describing exactly what I would need to do to take care of him throughout his healing process! I wouldn't go anywhere else. These vets are the most caring people ever and will go above and beyond for animals instead of bare minimum like most other places may do.

Receptionist is the least empathetic individual I’ve ever spoken to in my life, my dog is peeing blood from UTI and they have seen her before for exact same reason, which is why I would’ve preferred to take her back to a vet that knows her medical history. was told that they could “maybe” squeeze us in for emergency appointment. She was more insistent that the emergency charge would be extra instead of trying to find any availability for us.

If you care about your pets, do not use this clinic. They cannot be upfront and professional about anything.

Our 14 year old Jack Russell Westy cross was knuckling whenever she walked, and wasn't steady enough on her feet to stand let alone walk. Veterinarian Rocky White prescribed a steroid pill, a pain pill, and one for her nervous system. We are very happy to report that she is back to her sure-footed self.

Had a very unfortunate experience. This is a vet to use if you only have one or two animals. Pray that your animals don't contract or are exposed to the same contagion otherwise they'll force you to bring them all in individually to be treated or release you as a client because you let them know you're gonna write reviews. They won't write a prescription unless they've seen each individual pet. Lots and lots of $$$$$$$ and time is what it'll cost you. I guess you're only allowed to be a patient if you write positive reviews.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! Doctor didn't even touch our cat. Said our cat was aggressive but refused to let us back to be with our baby. THEN STILL CHARGED US FULL PRICE!! I understand paying for the medication but not the exam, and now I'll have to spend more money to have the exam done at a future date. The manager was incredibly condescending and rude. This place treats pet parents like they are unintelligent. I have heard and read multiple accounts where the "doctor" refused to touch the animal for "aggression". Do NOT put the life of your sweet babies in the hands of these greedy bigots. This is our baby

They are always professional, kind, caring, and wonderful staff. I love Rocky and Beth they both take very good care of my dog. They never try to upsell anything but tell you when you should get something done and when that something can wait. This is the best place to go to for you animals care.

Dr Smith didn't even touch our dog. Dog was not aggressive and muzzled. "Mapped out a plan" that didn't take the pain of the dog into account, and made "plans for 4 days away" and a charge of over $1200. BS! Went to Town & Country in Killeen and problem fixed right away and charge was 90% less!
