worst place i have ever gone in my life, i went in with sick kittens, after days of trying to get in contact with the shelter-WITH NO RESPONSE! After going in and talking to the lady, i was immediately met with disrespect, and honestly she embarrassed the face of the company. I asked her if there was any way we could get these kittens help, or even checked in, and instead she told me she was gonna have to kill the cats that day. I am personally highly allergic to cats, and where they were found outside in the texas heat, underneath tin roofing, is the worst place for them. she had no care for their life, i brought up the fact that the shelter isn’t a kill shelter, and she changed the whole story saying the shelter had a 98% life expectancy. throughout it all she stayed consistently rude, trying to get us to agree with killing innocent cats. I WOULD NEVER TRUST THIS PLACE WITH A LIVING BEING, especially that woman today. this place needs to be shut down or that woman needs to be fired. there is no reason for innocent animals to be dying, just because she doesn’t want to deal with it!

All of the staff is very helpful. They go above and beyond to help all the animals that are brought into the shelter. Trying to find homes for the animals is a full-time job. Great facility.

Friendly and informative, the process of adopting our puppy was wonderful ❤️ We called ahead to let them know who we were hoping to make the newest member of our family, so when we arrived they brought 'Buda' out to meet us. Within 30 minutes, we had our little guy, along with deadlines clearly marked for various shots and neutering. The girls were great!! Thank you for such a fun and memorable experience!

We drove 30 minutes and arrived at 1045 to see a dog we saw on the website to be told adoptions stop at 11:00. We asked to see a dog and we’re told we had to have an appointment. The person at the shelter said this information is posted on their website. When we left the facility and looked at the website these instructions are not listed. We wanted to meet a dog that has been at the shelter for 3 months but told we couldn’t. How sad for the dogs at the shelter that a perspective adopter was turned away.

I adopted 2 kittens from this shelter. I saved 2 kitty's lives being that this is a kill shelter. My kitties received all their shots on time, were spayed at the proper time, taken to the vet when they were sick ... I have spent about $2000 on these kitties in a year. Very well taken care of babies. During this time I was also dealing with the very quick death of my 57 year old brother. I apparently received citations, that to this day I have never seen, & over $500 in fines for not turning in my paperwork on vaccinations & spaying at the proper time to the shelter. All shots & spays were done in time they just received the proof late. After receiving proof they still refused to dismiss citations. I believe in saving animals from these high kill shelters but it's a bitter pill to swallow when these institutions are willing to go to an extra length to receive funding. It seems to me that the director of this shelter (if truly an animal advocate) should be happy she did not have to kill these 2 cats & knowing they are in a good home. As big as an advocate as I am in adopting from high kill shelters it's hard for me to recommend one that it so underhanded.

Never been inside the facility but did try to contact them regarding neighbors dogs that bark literally all day long. And most days until 11 or so at night. And not just a bark here and there but consistent barking. Non stop. Guy named Joe I was emailing with told me there were “no dogs” when he went by (these dogs have been in the front yard every single day since I’ve lived here, and I sent him video proof) After that he told me basically I could take my neighbors to court or get over it even though his job is noise ordinance enforcement. It was obvious that he truly did not care or do much investigating. Even as I write this review I’ve been listening to the dogs bark for two straight hours. It’s extremely frustrating not being able to relax or even fall asleep at a decent time because these animals NEVER stop until the owner brings them in around 10 or 11 at night.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE or read the fine print closely and consult a vet before signing ANYTHING.I’m so relieved that these people are out of my life now. This shelter does not care about the safety of your pet. They do not take into account the expertise of veterinarians when it comes to the deadlines they have you agree too. They don’t care that clinics are booked months out past the deadlines the decide on. If you do not meet their deadlines they will issue you a fine/misdemeanor.The only silver lining is that I spared my pet from being stuck here.If you adopt here, get a vet ready first and consult them before signing anything.
