Place is a nightmare, lack of care and customer service. Worth the drive to another service center.

Great people that working there! However my experience has not been so great, my car has been there for a week and will continue to be there for my A/C to be fixed but was not provided a loaner car and it has been a nightmare to find rides to places. Next time if my car needs service I do recommend calling ahead of time or just fine another dealership that can give you a loaner.

So I took my mother's Cadillac x5 in to replace a blinker. They told me it would cost $1300.00. Doesn,t that seem a little excessive, especially when the part only costs $500.00. It took them 30 minutes to replace the blinker. $700.00 in labor? To remove 2 screws? AND didn't put the new one on correctly. I don't know anyone that makes $700.00 for a half hour of non labor intensive work. I'm sorry, I feel very deceived and exploited. My family has purchased every vehicle we own from said dealership for the last 25+ years. Let me be very clear on how many vehicles...3 suburbans (custom ordered), 1 Tahoe (custom ordered), 4 Chevy Trucks, 3 Ford F250 1 camaro,a Cadillac, and a Pontiac Grand Am. We choose to shop local to support our local economies, but after this we will be going elsewhere. We have 1 vehicle ready to be replaced, so...I will question the cost of parts and labor going forward because the maintenance department at Hoffpauir is not up front with that info, and mislead us to bill us more than necessary.

Took my wife's 2021 Chevy Colorado here to get $30 U-joints installed (200k miles on factory U-joints had started to clunk going into reverse and drive, as well a significant vibration at hwy speeds). They rotated the tires and told me I needed $12,000 in rear end work, but somehow not U-joints. Obviously I installed the U-jounts myself and it fixed all the problems, but they were dangerously close to the point of failure. I can't belive they let my wife drive out of there on these U-joints. If they let loose at hwy speeds it would have been catastrophic and would have absolutely caused a wreck at 70+ mph. I'm not sure if they are untrustworthy, careless, or just incompetent but this type of blatant disregard for safety is dangerous and unacceptable.

I got an oil change and tire rotation on my dually. This is the second tire rotation on this vehicle I have had done at this location. In passing I learned from the tech that since I had custom rims, the tires could not be balanced at the dealership. This was news to me since they were rotated by this dealer before. Dually tires need pulled from the rims and rebalanced for a true 6 tire rotation. Each time I paid $150 for the rotation, but just in passing this time discovered this dealer cannot balance the tires. The tech and counter personnel were dismissive about the unbalanced tire situation-which is dangerous and I should have been told months early at the first rotation. The tech slopped the bead glue all over the outside of my tires very carelessly which I scrubbed off when I got home. Upon leaving the dealership after waiting 2.5 hours, and paying $255, the low pressure light came on warning me that the back outer tire on the driver side had 36 pounds of pressure---all the back tires require 80 psi cold. So I went back and had them "finish" the job. My experience told me this dealership has no quality control on their work, they either ripped me off on the first tire rotation or simply did not tell me of the danger of not being able to balance the back tires--I feel like they did both. The grease and bead glue all over the tires and rims was left for me to deal with. The over all take away, this place could care less about the customer. While I was in the waiting area another gentlemen was waiting on his vehicle because after a recent oil change at the dealership he ended up with what he thought was an oil leak. After his vehicle was inspected it was determined that during the change, new oil was spilled all over the engine compartment and not wiped up. The office personnel was very dismissive to this customer also, saying that the engine was probably to hot for the tech to wipe it up, I was thinking with the correct protective gloves I weld metal, so an oil overflow on an engine is pretty easy to wipe without a burn.
I have zero confidence is any of the work done here now, which really is disappointing since I have purchased vehicle there and gone there for "service" whenever possible to give the local dealer business. Do they do any of the inspections they say they do, and bill you for...? Obviously there is zero quality control if they even do the work--why should I trust paperwork signed off that say "Job Complete" then drive off to a tire that is 44 pounds of pressure low. And why was I not made away at the early service that my tires in the back could not be balanced. I have had a vibration, shaking sensation when traveling at highway speeds, I use this truck to pull heavy loads. Confidence is actually ZERO in the Hoffpauir name brand and I will pass the word to each person I know in the area about this experience. I am giving 2 stars so this review is not simply tossed out as an "outlier" and perhaps someone in management can correct the ills, if they care. I have an appointment this morning at another dealer to check and correct (balance the tires!). Overall I have lost all confidence in this place for even the simplest of maintenance and will pass the word to the community not to smear them, but to warn of poor quality and no concern of safety.

My friend needed a headlight light bulb.
They told her that she needed the whole headlight replaced.
They charged her $869 I was like oh my God are you serious.
They definitely ripped her off.
Next time she'll go to AutoZone.

Straightforward and friendly dealership staff to do business with. After speaking with several dealers in Texas in my truck search, Jim Hoffpauir was my choice because of Kyle’s responsiveness to my questions and helpfulness throughout the buying process. If you are buying a truck in Texas, I recommend taking your business here.
