Claiborne's Thriftway is a family owned and operated grocery store in Lamesa, Texas, and is not a chain store. The store is formatted to cater to the local Texas market. It is nice, clean, and provides a great selection, including the freshest produce, delicious meats, a good meat selection, a great assortment of groceries, drinks, snacks, and items like tripas that are hard to find elsewhere. They have beer and wine and a fresh deli with great food. Many employees are friendly, respectful, attentive, and provide super helpful and awesome customer service. Prices are generally good and affordable, though some note they can be a bit high or that some items are overpriced. The store stocks preferred items that others do not. Some areas for improvement include organization in the storage area, the quality of some fruits and vegetables, and the occasional encounter with a rude individual. Overall, it is a valued local business.
The deli staff worker ignore the fact we arrived before this couple and yet the worker continue to ignore me. I had to say something to get them to take my order. The fried chicken is good but the staff and service suck big time.

I enjoy shopping at Claiborne's because most of the employees are friendly and always treat one with respect but there are a select few that I avoid because their rude or can be rude! But overall the prices are good!

Still very neat and well-stocked. Had everythong I needed.
