We’ve been loyal customers of Pet Wants for the past two years, and we couldn’t be happier! We have three Australian Shepherds, one of whom has major health issues, including food sensitivity and Crohn’s disease. We struggled to find the right food, even resorting to making homemade meals, but nothing worked until we discovered Pet Wants.
Our dogs absolutely love the lamb and whitefish food from Pet Wants. The quality and freshness of their products are unparalleled. Even our pickiest eaters and the one with health issues thrive on this food.
Alex, the owner, is incredibly kind and always remembers where our last conversation left off. The customer service is top-tier—Alex even helps by bringing the heavy 50-pound bags to our car. We’ve never encountered another pet food supply company with such exceptional quality and service. Highly recommend Pet Wants!

Very clean & organized pet food store with a wonderful staff! I drove up from Dallas to Austin and realized I didn't have enough dog food for my trip. I use Pet Wants food for my dog and cat and im so glad there was a store in Austin that had everything I needed!

Pet Wants is amazing. Alex, the owner, is so knowledgeable about all things pets. My dogs have been so much better since switching over to the food from Pet Wants. I highly recommend checking this place out.

I am so glad we found Pet Wants and Alex! We were referred there by Facebook users when we were looking for help with our grand-dog's extreme skin rash and sores. Alex and I talked on the phone for quite a while about the situation, and Alex even went online to review the ingredients in our dog's current food to see if that might be the problem. He ended up recommending some allergy chews from Pet Wants as a first step. We picked up the chews and within two days we noticed a huge improvement in the dog's itchiness and scratching! Plus he loves the taste, so we give them three times a day as a treat. We had tried many other chews and supplements in the past, and nothing had worked.
Alex truly loves dogs and knows so much about their nutritional needs and potential issues. Thank you so much, Alex!

I've visited numerous pet stores over the years (background in dog training, rescues & adoption), but my experience here was truly outstanding. Alex's depth of knowledge was absolutely best in class. The service was unparalleled, and I appreciated the informative approach that allowed me to make my own decisions without feeling pressured. After years of shopping at Tomlinsons and Healthy Pet, I can confidently say I've found the perfect place for all my pet needs. Plus, the delivery option is an amazing bonus!

If I could leave more than 5 stars, I would! Alex (the owner) is by far one of the most knowledgeable, kind, and caring people I’ve ever met. He has helped me find the perfect food (he makes it!) for my dogs & any time I need something new he walks me through ALL of my options, what they do, how long they’ll last, why he likes them all the way down to the company who makes it, etc. Everything in his store is intentionally picked to make sure pets are healthy and happy! So thankful to have found this place. He even delivers locally, which has been HEAVEN SENT!! Thank you, Alex! EVERYONE CHECK OUT PET WANTS NOW!

My dog Dolly absolutely loves the chicken jerky here. Alex is the most helpful person I have ever met at a pet store. The customer service here is unmatched, and that goes for the pet and the owner! I look forward to bringing Dolly here every week since I have found the place. The fresh food here is amazing, and the ability to get small batches every two weeks or so makes it super fresh for my little 10 pound pugapoo. Alex really cares about your pets health and tries to get to know them. There is no other store like this period. Hands down best experience I have ever had at a pet store. I won’t be going to any other pet stores but here for a long time. Dolly and I have found some friends for life!

My pup had high triglycerides (over 2000... normal was under 340)! After discussing this issue with Kris at My Love Fur Paws while my dog was going to board there for 2.5 weeks. I told her that the vet suggested some low fat foods for our pup and that she would not eat it. I think I tried every low fat food on the market! She suggested that she get some food from Pet Wants as they are such a good source and have healthy food and have some that are low fat that the dogs love! She ordered the senior low fat food from Pet Wants and also some Hound and Gatos that Pet Wants carries. They were given this food for 2.5 weeks. Right after we picked our pup up, we went to the vet to have her triglycerides checked. We got the results back today---DRUMROLL.... HER TRIGLYCERIDES WERE 171! This was all due to the food from Pet Wants! Thank you Kris at My Love Fur Paws for you knowledge and to Pet Wants for making tasty healthy food that my dog absolutely loves to eat.

This place is SO impressive! Alex, the owner, is passionate about pet food and pet wants. I just got home, and my dogs love everything he recommended. Not once did he try and upsell or pressure me into buying his products. Everything is top notch quality.... And honestly, I wanted to buy everything in the pristinely clean store.

This store is the best! Has all healthy things for my boys! Alex is so knowledgeable and kind. He gives you the best customer service and recommends things that are good for your dog and doesn’t try to sell you things you don’t need. love this store. And my boys love the food.

Heard about Pet Wants from a friend so I went to go visit to buy some gifts for our friend’s new puppy. The owner Alex was so kind and helpful. He gave me a very generous sample of their dry food.My dog Willy enjoyed the dry food so I wanted to take him in for a visit. Willy was very happy to meet Alex and receive ALL THE TREATS. Alex even gave him a treat for our ride home. Clearly Willy’s new favorite place.We just placed an online order for their dry food and it was delivered within the hour. Can’t believe the incredible customer service. Looking forward to ordering all of our pet needs from Pet Wants moving forward!
