I’m not really sure how to start off a review for one of the most magical and sentimental places in Brazoria County. Growing up, I know a lot of us were mocked for loving things that were spooky or nerdy and there weren’t a lot of places to find friends that had similar interests. However, the first day I walked into Lone Star Comics and met Tad and Sarah, my heart felt like I had found some wonderful people to have in my life and a wonderful place to go when I needed to be myself. Lone Star Comics is a safe space for everyone. The Wood family puts so much love and effort to keep all of their locations beautiful, clean, fun, and safe for all of us who grew up misfits. Tad is the type of man who is so incredibly knowledgeable and fun to talk to because you learn something new and have so much fun every time you see him. Sarah is wonderful and such a baddie. She brings the feeling of home with her everywhere she goes. Jodi and Paul Wood are also rock stars who did an amazing job helping make sure this beautiful family business stays up and running. Don’t even get me started on how amazing and precious all of the workers are for the best little comic shop in Texas. Starling and Tanner are such sweet souls who make your day better every time you see them. Also don’t forget to ask about how Grandma Louis and Grandpa Jim are doing when you come in. They are the brains behind the business. I only ever heard amazing stories about this amazing and interesting family. When you come here, stay for the memories and the beautiful people you will meet.

Really sweet spot it's nice to have a collectibles store out here and these guys make it worth the visit, lovely service and it has a little bit for everyone.

Highly organized store setup, friendly staff, huge selection of comics, all bagged and boarded. From board games to Beanie Babies to Barbies to WWE wrestling toys, this store has something for everyone!

Love this place. Star is always helpful and smiling. The inventory constantly changing. If you can't find a piece of your childhood here you didn't look hard enough. If you didn't enjoy just the environment and looking around this place you only have yourself to blame. Exceptional.

The young lady there this past Saturday seemed to NOT interested in customers!!!! Not one "hello", "welcome", "may I help you", not a smile. Not one acknowledged from them moment we walked in store, to the time we left. Definitely not a place I would give business to. Walked out without buying anything. Will NOT be going back.

Amazing store! So much variety. I think every fandom is covered. I love the nod to classic monsters and horror. And the celebrity meet and greets are absolutely amazing! Tad would the owner of this and two other Lone Star Heroes comics and toys comic book stores is such a great guy, a real pleasure to meet. Today we got to meet the cast from Hocus Pocus one and two. Can't wait to share it on social media ??❤️

Came for the Hocus Pocus cast Meet & Greet. My friend and I explored the store after and loved all the items. Not too many D&D items but there was def some Warhammer stuff for anyone interested! Staff was lovely and the shop was super clean!!

They have a surprisingly large selection of things to get or even just browse. Very nice staff who are super helpful and store is kept up with and always looks nice.

When this shop opened on April 2nd, 2022, I applied immediately and was hired less than two weeks later. Unlike Starbucks, the owners could afford to pay me for full-time work, so I spent the first two months learning how to organize and file comics into the bins, keep the store tidy, and follow all safety and customer standards. Even after I got a job offer for another company with higher pay, I continue to work at least one day per week because I love the owners, keeping display cases and comic bins organized makes me happy, and I remain up-to-date about what's going on in pop culture. It's been a pleasure so far and I feel like family!
