“Having just moved to the area, I couldn’t help but notice this place standing out, so I decided to check it out. As soon as I walked in, I saw people playing all kinds of card games, with plenty of options to choose from. The staff was incredibly friendly and really focused on having a conversation to understand my style, rather than just selling me anything. Their expertise was top-notch, and they clearly knew their stuff.
I ended up picking out a game I knew little about, but the way it was described made it sound so interesting, especially with the engaging community around it. That game is One Piece: The Trading Card Game, and I haven’t regretted my choice since. Now, I come by on Wednesdays to connect with a great group of people who just want to have a good time, talk, and play.
I highly recommend this place. Whether you’re already into card games or new to the scene, there’s definitely something for everyone here!”
“Love Boomerang Comics!!! I have been a customer with them for many years and just stopped by for the first time in a while, and it was astonishing to see how much they have grown in the past few years of new ownership. They have stayed the same comic and game shop, but have expanded ten fold in the card department. not only have they expanded their TCG's in titles and quantity, but they have started selling sports cards as well. I've been frequenting local sports cards shops for a while but they have turned into my new go-to sports shop. I asked the lady behind the counter (shout out to Savannah) about some newer baseball cards I was looking for and she said that they can try to get them in within the coming weeks. I am always blown away by this comic and card shop, and happy to see then ever expanding and growing!!!”
“Well before this Michaels opened its doors people around here were giddy with excitement over its arrival. So much so, in fact, that you would have thought that there wasn't another store of its kind anywhere nearby. The poor folks at Hobby Lobby up the street were probably thinking "What are we, chopped liver??" When it did finally open it became apparent why everyone was so eager to shop here. This big, bright new store has everything arts and crafts related that you could want and then some. I won't pretend that I'm creative enough to know what to do with most of the stuff but it's nice to know that it's available should I suddenly feel inspired to take on some kind of craft project. This may be an unpopular opinion, but I actually like self checkouts - as long as they work of course (I'm looking at you Kroger!) And they have plenty here, making it faster and easier to get out the door and get started on your latest venture. If that's not your thing though, I believe there's still at least one human operated register available at all times. Michaels also has a reward program that is worth signing up for if you do a lot of crafting. Even if you don't, it still doesn't hurt to accrue some points that may lead to a discount one day.”
“Had the extreme pleasure of meeting JAKE today. He is a true professional in every way. He greeted me, listened to what I needed, and very quickly sprang into action. He trimmed my map, helped me find the correct frame, mounted the map, attached a wire hanger, sealed the backside of my framed map, and covered it with a sheet of plastic. He did all of this as I was asking him questions about what he was doing. He even thanked me for my service in the Navy, since he noticed my Navy hat. Of my many years of having pictures framed at Hobby Lobby, JAKE has been the best. Thank you Hobby Lobby for hiring such a talented and personable young employee.”
“Bought some deeply discounted holiday decorations. Some stores always seem to be running just 1 person short, you know? They're friendly and helpful, but there's only one or two and they're probably already busy helping someone.”
“Mrs. Ellen is always so helpful anytime I'm there. Great selection of glitter and general craft products. Wish they carried more wearable items (ie hats for crafting). Well stocked, organized and helpful employees. Thank you!”
“My kids look forward all year to this store being opened. Unfortunately this year we were a little late to the game and most things had already been sold. Our fault of course, the kids still loved it. The staff was great, and if I had any complaints it would be the space seemed smaller in their new location at the old goodwill. Then again it could just be me getting older and everything seems smaller lol. Anyways see you all there next year and hopefully a lot earlier than this year.”
“Always like to check out hobby shops when I travel. This one was outstanding!!!Amazing selection of new and vintage Lionel trains and plastic model kits some, have not seen in many years. Prices were also very good, friendly helpful staff. If in Dallas TX check this place outThanksTim”
