Purchased catfish filets today ( which we do several times a month) however this time they were so “muddy” most had to be thrown out. I called to ask if by chance they had changed vendors and the person who answered in seafood could only tell me that the fillets come in a box. Not a useful answer. I called back and spoke to Customer Service and reported the issue but I don’t feel that she really cared. I won’t trust buying catfish there again.

Great job by Tony O the cashier in Deer Park TX location. Jacob H. In the Seafood Dept always goes out of his way for the customers! This store is the best! Thanks for hiring such dedicated employees!

HEB has some of the greatest sevice. Love the new Deer Park store.
Update 8 years later.
This store has really gone down in the last 8 years so I am dropping down two stars for now. You are constantly having to dodge the stockers and curbside carts at the most busiest times of the day leaving you frustrated ?. They still have great checkers unlike Wal-Mart who hardly have any so I might start going back to Kroger to see how they are.

I paid for my order to be delivered on yesterday 07/17/2024. One of my sushi trays had been opened and items missing from the tray. I have never had service from HEB like this before.

I had them make a tiramisu cake and unfortunately they only gave me the shape of a cake, that is, just bread! It's unfortunate because I trusted this supermarket store.
I will add that the food in this place is of excellent quality

Repeat offender!!!
This store has repeatedly overcharged me.
This review is the combination of three negative events on this same day.
1. HEB associate drops a can of Dr. Pepper and covers me wth Dr Pepper because she was distracted talking with another HEB associate.
2. HEB Cashier completely screws up my check-out by first forgetting to charge me for my 8 cases of diet coke (I made her aware of her mistake) and then over-charges me for 12 watermelons (I didn't find out until I arrived at my home).
3. After calling, I was forced to return to the store to get the issue resolved. When I arrived, there was no one to help. I was already not happy. When they finally showed up, I only said a few words (basically, "I have a return" and "cash" when asked how I wanted the refund, and that was it). Before leaving, the manager asked me to stop and sarcastically said thank you. I felt like it was an attempt to escalate the situation instead of de-escalating.
If it was just 1 & 2, then this review would not exist. Actually, if the manager had just kept her mouth shut, then I would have just written it off as a bad day.

No longer "My HEB" as taking advantage of the wind of inflation and have REALLY jacked up prices. Have started back shopping at Kroger & Walmart & Food Town. If it was not for two particular items that only they carry, I would not shop there at all. So I really try to limit my purchases there.

This location is the best!! It's HEB and I'm a Texan, so, of course I have nothing bad to say. The staff is friendly and helpful!! The taste testing associates are amazing!! I can't forget our Cooking Connection associates!! They all rock!

Here in the area for medical reasons at MD Anderson, and have used this location.
“Ya’ll” have no idea how fortunate you are to have the quality, selection and variety in this store. Being from a small rural area of western Kansas this place is like thinkin you died and went to heaven.
