My sick pup and I waited over an hour before giving up and leaving without being seen. This was after calling ahead to confirm my 930 am appointment was on schedule.

Unfortunately our first visit with this vet clinic ended in us having to say goodbye to our beautiful boy Kobe after receiving devastating information on his health. I can not thank the team and Dr at this office enough. They were so kind, considerate, and compassionate. The Dr (I'm sorry I can't remember his name) helped me make a decision I was not prepared to make and I am grateful for his expertise in his profession. I will be using this office in the future and I highly recommend them.

Animal Clinic of La Porte (TX) always takes wonderful and thorough care of our "Monkie" (the cat). I fully recommend anyone in the Deer Park and Pasadena areas to consider them as an integral part of your furry family member's lifelong care.

I love going to the shelter. It is heartbreaking to see how many animals are there. The staff are all wonderful, caring people and do everything they can to try to alleviate the anxiety from the animals in their care. They desperately need more volunteers but, more than that, they need people to come in and adopt a dog or a cat. I hate seeing the despair in the faces of so many innocent animals. All they want is someone to love them and give them a home.

Dr Radix is so amazing with all our pups! I love the way he talks to us and never seems rushed and explains everything in detail and he always has a laugh and seems genuinely happy with what he does and that means a lot!

I am editing my review for how they treated me in '23 after 3 pets and many years coming to this practice. I had an appointment months in advance for my dog and cat. I arrived and the door was locked with the workers inside and they refused to answer the phone to check me in. Twenty minutes of us sitting in the car, cat yowling, I started knocking on their door. They said they were short staffed. They decided at that time, I was 5 minutes late, despite me arriving 15 min early. I told the tech that I had an appointment for 2, so she could check them in. She looked at my dog, then looked up in the air and acted like I was insane because she didn't see another pet. It was SO rude. I said my cat was in the air conditioned car in his carrier. I wasn't standing outside with him in the heat to knock on their door. She treated me so badly. She told me she'd try to work me in later, that I could go back to my car and wait, with NO estimate of time. She then shut the door in my face and locked it. I had been coming here and loyal to them for years and I was treated like absolute trash that day. I have never been back and will never be back. I found another vet with techs that don't treat people this way. I never leave bad reviews, but this incident fully deserves it!

I want to start off by saying this review is on the vet, Dr. Seon Radix, only. The rest of the staff is wonderful. My daughter has been taking her pug Hooch to this vet clinic since she got him mid 2020. He would have been 3 in June 3023.Hooch had been having some coughing/wheezing issues since early March. She did take him in at that time and was given an NSAID and told to also give Benadryl. It cleared up briefly but returned. He then started wheezing that would last about a minute when he got excited. She made an appointment for April 8th to get xrays. On April 6th around 3pm he started having a worsening of respiratory problems. He was taken to Animal Clinic of La Porte by my husband. He asked for xrays to be taken then to rule out a foreign body lodged or if it was something else ie collapsed trachea. Dr Radix refused to even try stating he didn't think Hooch would lay on his side or extend his neck. Instead scheduled him for 8:30 the next morning to be sedated first. My husband was concerned that Hooch was in such distress needed the xrays then and not wait until the morning. Dr Radix proceeds to tell him Hooch may not live until the morning but if he does bring him in. He also said he probably won't live through the anesthesia. Who says that while refusing to do anything? Dr Radix also gave him a paper with emergency clinics in case he was dying plus a rx of Lasix. This young, full of life, always happy family member died an absolute horrifying death around 6:30 am the next morning while on the way to the emergency clinic. He was terrified and suffered tremendously in the 45 minutes it took us to get to the emergency hospital. No animal should ever have to go through that. It is 100% Dr Radix fault Hooch suffered and died. All he had to do was try and get xrays when Hooch was brought in. Instead he refused. If he didn't want to do them, then send us to someone who would. A formal complaint has been filled out and submitted to the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners. Dr Radix either 1. Is incompetent. 2. Doesn't care about the pets he sees. 3. Is only in it for the money. Whatever the reason he needs his license revoked. You don't send a pet home to die without trying something first.

The staff is so caring and the vet helped us make the hard decisions to put down our sweet dog with brain cancer. He sat with us, answered all our questions and loved on her the whole time. He completely gained my trust that day. Since then I have continued to be impressed with the level of care he gives to my other fur baby.
