“My family and I chose this hotel because it was near my sister’s house and right around the corner from (Galveston) Island. This hotel ended up being one of the best La Quinta’s that I have stayed at in a while. I’m a frequent traveler so having a nice, clean, comfortable and friendly hotel is very important to me. We intended to stay only for two nights but we were so impressed with the hotel we extended our stay for 2 more days. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially Mrs. Kathy Peters shout out to you my friend!! Thank you for your awesome customer service! We will be back! The outdoor pool, fitness center and complimentary breakfast was a plus!”
“Amazing location, could see the ocean from our balcony! We got the king suite. The price was unbeatable for the stay and room we had. We spent 6 nights in this wonderful hotel. The front desk was very helpful, kind and professional. The room was very clean and beyond what we even imagined. The housekeepers went above and beyond to make sure our room was kept nice since we were so busy running around, they also went above and beyond and did such a great job. We will definitely be coming back and letting others know if they want to visit that this is the hotel we would recommend! The location is perfect. It is in the middle of everything you could ever want to do and is convenient! Thank you for helping to contribute to an amazing vacation memory we will never forget for my children and us.Rooms: Exceptional! Well kept. Lots of space, roomy balcony, comfortable couch. King bed was super comfortable and clean!Nearby activities: Public Beach, Baywatch Dolphin Tour, Pleasure Pier, Lots of restaurants and fast food, convenient stores, smoke shops, Arcades, Moody Gardens Aquarium, Outside Pool, Gym, Ghost Tour, Carriage Tour, Scavenger Hunt, Biplane cockpit ride, Rage Cage, Bars/Pubs, and Winery. Also if you love seafood Little Daddy’s is the way to go! Especially if you like Alligator, theirs is the best.Walkability: Public Beach is within walking distance. 5 or so minutes.”
“I stayed with my sister that was being helped by FEMA from June 3 to June 5 and I’m visiting from the state of Fort Lauderdale Florida& I love this place. It was very clean the pool area we loved it. I love them were very comfortable room is very spacious. The cleaning crew are very polite even the man, Mr. Ali, very polite very nice man. I would recommend anyone to come and stay at this place. I loved it and I shall come back and look forward to staying at the Candlewood suites in Galveston thank you to the front desk y’all were awesome. God bless.

“I had a great stay at Candlewood Suites League City! The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with a full kitchen, making it perfect for a longer stay. “Room smelled very musty and even a jacket was damp after hanging on the office chair overnight.Rooms: Our room smelled musty, but we tolerated it fine. We were only there to sleep.Nearby activities: About 25 minutes to the cruise terminal.Safety: Well lit parking.Walkability: We drove. Only a convenience store with a Subway was walkable.Food & drinks: Adequate breakfast.Noteworthy details: Front desk staff was friendly and helpful with our TV.”

“Stayed with my family here for 5 days , we love the service! Everyone was so helpful. Robert from the front desk he went above and beyond for whatever we needed! And Bobbi at breakfast very nice and caring, so helpful and made sure everything was well stocked! Our rooms were clean and Housekeeping did a great job! Cleaned out rooms each day , and left it very clean. Overall this Hotel was the best Holiday Inn I ever stayed at! 5 stars! Will definetly be back soon! Thank u for making our vacation the greatest! Highly recommend?”

“Do not stay at this hotel if you book through a third party. They will charge your credit card for your room in addition to what you’ve paid and refuse to remove the charge. You will pay for your room twice! UPDATE I received a refund one day after writing this review and 8 days after my initial inquiry. I thank you for finally refunding me as it was the right thing to do. I normally appreciate the quality of stay at La Quinta and this hotel was clean and quiet for our quick night stay prior to our cruise. Your front desk staff were very nice but something got handled incorrectly during our stay and unfortunately I (the customer) was put in the middle of it when I feel it should have been handled between the booking site and hotel. It’s unfortunate about the billing circumstance that I had no knowledge about until I returned from my cruise. I have never written a bad review until now but feel this could have been handled much more efficiently without stress. Thank you”

“Great location and great price. Nice breakfast with options. We have stayed multiple times. The hot tub is nice since the pool isn’t heated, but wasn’t working one night of our stay. There were also 2 small roaches at our last stay. One in our room and one in the hallway. It may deter us staying again.”

“Booked this hotel to be closer to the port at Galveston and it wasn't a far drive. The room was clean, very comfortable and reasonably priced.
It wasn't anything fancy but very suitable for a short stay.
Nearby activities: Great place to stay the day before a cruise.”
