Kshears booked me for an 8am appt for Saturday. First red flag she didn't show up until 9. I SHOULD LEFT!!!!!! She came in very apologetic offering a discount and was ultimately very nice. She seemed very knowledgeable at her craft so I relaxed a bit. I had long thick relaxed hair. I came in for a pixie cut. As time went on she had several clients arriving ON TIME. I wanted a different style being in the military there aren't a lot of options, but Kewonia took her time onow my hair and did my sew-in that I liked. It's not out of regulation while in uniform and very easy to do outside of uniform. I recommend anyone to give her a try.

I was pleased with how my hair looked until I discovered one of my braids had been cut and tucked in. I'm uncertain if it was done intentionally, however I hope it was a bad accident. It cannot be fixed and it wasn't handled appropriately. In all I spent 440.00$ for this service so I didn't expect that.3 different people did things to my hair during this process. I also had a major issue with a hair company Called Mayven in the process. I was referred to Mayven by Ms Grimes. It was advertised I would've had the hair in two days and that didn't happen. I was even told my refund would be processed since the item arrived late and was refused. It took almost two weeks for me to get 420.00$ returned and the company had actually had the hair back for days. So in all, I'm not pleased and I wouldn't want anyone else to have an experience like that. Now, I have to allow my hair some time to grow back and deal with the fact I actually wasted my money and my time. An apology and a refund would be appreciated considering the craziness of this. As humans we make mistakes but as professionals I feel this is an issue that shouldn't have been ignored. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone especially considering money seems to be more important than morals.

I moved to Killeen in Jan 2013 I had a hard time finding a good salon and Beautician well the ladies here are Masters in thier craft (I mean that literally)...The owner did my hair and she did a amazing great job so yes I have scheduled another app pt for 30 Dec 2013 and I will continue to come here and request Kewannie the owner to maintain and do my hair!!

When I left NY i was sad because I was wondering who was going to treat my hair like my Dominicans!!!! I moved to Colorado then came breakage and all. Next was Texas omg im like im bout to cut my hair cause my hair is falling off/shedding alot. I stumbled through fb or craiglist and found her. I didn't know what a Keratin Treatment was but at time I was desperate and Trusting in word. I remeber she was Closed on Tuesday and she opened up for me and I was greatful for that and when she finished my hair OMG I LOVED MY HAIR AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldnt believe my hair looked so healthy. A year later I love this lady and her hands. Just come and u won't look no where else just like me.... Thank You Unique & Elegant and staff for what you do and that u love what you do!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S. ask questions the staff will explain everything so that you understand everything what there going to do.

I'm from Atlanta and new to the Killeen area. My husband is in the military and we moved here in April. As a woman, the most frustrating thing is finding a stylist. Someone who just doesn't "do" your hair....but takes care of it. After a long search I finally found Unique & Elegant Hair Design. I found the website and called Kewonia and she was able to get me in asap. She very nice, professional, and courteous. I went in for a hair cut on July 17, 2013 and received more than that. Not only did Kewonia do an excellent job with my hair; she gave me a consultation to guide me towards healthier hair. The prices are reasonable and the service is extremely fast. Along with Kewonia, Sharon and Vonni are two of the other stylists I met and they created a fun-filled, professional atmosphere. I felt right at home. It's rare that you find one hair salon that specializes in all hair types and styles. As long as I'm here in Killeen, TX I look forward to continuing my hair services at this salon. I am beyond happy and satisfied.
