“Informational and interesting visit to the James Avery Store and Museum—where in 1954, with just $250, James Avery Artisan Jewelry was born in a small garage in Kerville. Avery's designs were symbols of faith and love that resonated with people, especially those attending summer camps in the area looking for a memento to commemorate their camp experience while in the Kerrville area. To this day, the flagship store welcomes and accommodates large groups of summer campers—including the group I saw shopping for charm bracelets while there. The company now has more than 100 stores across the United States, with the company's headquarters in Kerrville remaining home to the workshop where the jewelry is made.

“I have used Baublit's for about 10 years and they have always done amazing work...they never disappoint. They are consistently friendly, fairly priced and honest about the work involved. and the time needed to complete the work. This family and business is a Kerrville treasure and are a staple to our community, through jewelry repairs AND community support.”
“Jim Morris is a superior jeweler, the real deal. He is incredibly talented and creative, he has made a living doing what he loves and it shows. His dedication to customer service is very rare, and he gives to the community in so many ways. You simply can't go wrong trusting Jim for your custom creation, and his showroom has many beautiful and unique pieces.”

“I rarely shop anywhere else. The GA has something for any occasion… from a day at the office, activewear, a baby shower, even a formal event!! Not to mention, the staff is so welcoming & professional with an abundance of knowledge about the products. If you can’t seem to get the time, The Golden Antler is ONLINE!!”
“There are 2 boutiques here- one for clothing and accessories, and the other for home furnishings and decor. Both offer a very well curated collection. I shopped at the home furnishing side of the business and purchased some amazing candles from brands I was not familiar with from Europe. Tina help me with my selections and was really nice and knowledgeable. There are so many amazing things to look at and purchase. It's exciting to go into a boutique featuring inventory you haven't seen before and be helped by someone that knows so much about the craftsmanship and quality of the products. It's clear they really care about their customers. From the customer service to the packaging of your purchases to receiving a handwritten thank you note the mail! All first class. I will definitely be back.”
“This gentleman who repairs shoes is really incredible. I love my shoes. To bits, it seems. At least, I love those that are the comfy ones, like loafers and moccasins, which is what I brought in, with the honest reality on both our parts that possibly nothing could be done for some, and maybe something for the others. Worth a try. Shoes carry meaning and our weight, protect us, serve us... they are personal reminders of where we've been...and then we throw them out. Really... I hesitate before passing them on, either to recycling or the waste bin. We are so fortunate to live in the day of less expensive shoes, and the internet where you can buy almost anything. I love my shoes. Did I mention that I love my shoes? So... I go to pick up my repaired shoes, and he did a stellar job on the 2 out of 3 pairs... the others, he even told me... he'd try... but 'they had lived their time' he said. He thought all of them had. I was elated to have my comfy wonderful loafer/moccasins back, and they're great! I asked how much I owed him, and he said, "Nothing. 'Cause I can't guarantee they'll stay. They've lived their time." My gosh, people, I felt bad to have wasted his time with any of them, and even when I insisted on paying, he said no and turned to another client. I don't expect to have something for free, really, ever. What a blessing. This person is one of the very few who are left on the planet repairing shoes. The least thing I felt I could do for him, is bring him in some sort of other shoes where he will charge me, and write this review claiming him to sainthood.”
“I have been going here since I was 17 years old with my dad.The exceptional stock carried and the expertise of all of the employees make the difference when visiting, and not much else compares. I am apt to pay a few more dollars for quality products, and these guys have them! Family heirlooms start here :-)”
“I went in with a broken necklace and it was N easy fix but the jeweler was kind and didn’t even charge me! I’ve purchased many things here over the years and always had a good experience”
