GREG's groom 'n room
512 7th St, KemahI'm so happy that we popped into this place. I'm addition to being a groomer, they have such a cute shop! There's jewelry, clothing, hats, decor, etc. - all of the stuff you hope to find if you are a looking for some fun souvenirs. The prices were great and the owner was very friendly. This will be a staple when we go to Kemah from here on out!

Pet Care

Bayside Animal Hospital | Kemah, TX
960 Lawrence Rd, KemahNot my first review here.
I don't remember how we came to know Drs Shepard and Murphy but they have been the loving medical providers for our little girl Piper, since we rescued her as a pup, and up to his passing, our horribly missed, Izzy.
Our relationship goes back more than 20 years. I can't imagine ever trusting any other vets like I do these two. And their assocites, techs, and whole staff, are somewhere north of excellent.
Choosing Bayside is a choice you will never regret, I promise.

Camp Bow Wow
300 Anders Ln, KemahWhat we love most about your services is the peace of mind you provide. We adore Camp Bow Wow because it feels like a safe haven for our golden retriever. Knowing that he’s having fun and burning off energy while we’re stuck at work is priceless. The care and attention you give him always make us feel confident that he’s in great hands!

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Joe Lee's Seafood Kitchen
1108 Marina Bay Dr, KemahI had to say it was a solid fried seafood platter. Fried catfish was better than famous fish & chips places that we had been to. 5/5 I recommend you guys to come here for the value of food and money. Service was friendly just didn’t expect to order through the counter with no servers around. However we enjoyed our dinner and happily surprised with the amazing taste. Only thing I would suggest is to renew/repaint the interior and do deep cleaning as it smells like old odor. I am sure it something that can be improved over time. We are not from around the area and just glad we made it on time as it was advertised on gmaps opening hrs till 9 pm then when we got there it was announced at the door that they closed 8 pm on certain days. I recommend to renew opening hours on Google as many customers are relying upon internet for information thesedays.

Bubble Jungle
604 Kipp Ave, KemahFound a "hidden gem" on 6th street in Kemah! The place is very fun, welcoming with a great vibe! They have fun swinging chairs outside with sprinkling fans (cause this heat is no joke)! They have great frozen beverages options as well as a full bar! On their tap wall there is something for everyone! Rain & Rachel are both super sweet & very welcoming! This should be a pit stop if you're ever in the Kemah area! It will definitely be my go to when I visit!

Jackie's Bar and Grill
1053 Marina Bay Dr, KemahI LOVE this place so much! They usually have some type of special going on but in general the prices are such a great price point for the quality of food you’re getting plus the portions are plenty and the service is always so phenomenal. I would choose Jackie’s for every meal if I could I even just found out they do breakfast and heard rave reviews. I always go for lunch or dinner. This last time I went on a Tuesday for lunch and they had a Tuesday taco special and $4 or $5 margs. The margarita was house but had me feeling top shelf! I always go for the shrimp boil tossed in spicy garlic oil ?. They devein the shrimp which I learned is not everyplace does that so I really appreciate that and the shrimp are cooked perfectly and so plump and juicy like they should be. They have half orders which don’t come with potatoes but for $8 more you can get a full pound with corn and potatoes. They usually have music or entertainment on the weekends and the vibe of the place is relaxed but down to have a good time. I can’t say enough great things about this place. Do yourself a favor and check it out! I’ve been over a handful of times and have always had a great experience! Thank you Jackie’s!

Skallywag Suds N' Grub
600 6th St, KemahWe were driving by Kemah and decided to stop by for a beer. We walked around the various bars in the area, and most of them were very empty, probably because it was still early (around 630p) on a Saturday night. But when we walked past this place, it was buzzing. There were 3 or 4 small groups in their outdoor terrace, and you could feel the energy. Music was playing but not getting much in the way of conversation, so it was a nice atmosphere. We went inside to grab a beer. The bartender was busy, and when we asked about their IPA beers, she said we should look at the board. The electronic beer menu was flipping fast, so I could not quite go through one page before it got changed. We saw one we wanted to try, but after she walked back to the tap, she returned and let us know they were out. We finally got one we liked after a second try. We then walked out to the patio where the atmosphere was a bit more fun.
Of the places in the three blocks we walked, this seemed the most fun. If it was not for the electronic beer menu changing on me, I would give it 5 stars.
