Helen Melissa Tyson is an awesome NP! I trust her for all my general health care. I've been coming to this location for many years, when it was a tiny one doctor office with Dr. Mayfield. It's now a much larger and modern office. The front desk staff are wonderful and very professional. The staff here always take great care of me. I highly recommend this location. Please understand this is Suite 150 in the corner. There are three Texas Family Health offices in this office complex and it can be confusing for new patients.

I delivered a doordash order today to this doctors office. The order was a huge Jason's Deli order for the whole office. When I completed the delivery I was not left any tip. It took 45 minutes in Jason's Deli waiting on the large order. If you do not intend on tipping your delivery driver (used my car, my gas and my time) Please DO NOT have lunch sent to your office. How rude to do that to a person just trying to make a living.

I’ve been coming to this office for over 2 years now, today was the first day I’ve needed a sick visit to get a flu test. Called the number provided and gave the girl my info, she found an extremely outdated address when I have updated all my info with them over the last 2 years, then had to transfer me to a triage nurse who then proceeded to ask me several questions about my symptoms, if I’m vaccinated(hello, we know it doesn’t prevent you from getting it, is it really relevant anymore?) then proceeded to tell me because it’s “Covid symptoms” that it will have to be a virtual visit. Can I still at least come and get a flu test? To which she answered probably not. THR this is crazy, 2 years later and y’all won’t see someone with a fever in person because it might be Covid? I’m a nurse, we never stopped seeing patients from day 1 of this pandemic and this is how people are still treated 2 years later. Pretty disappointed as I truly respect the doctors and NP’s at this office but this just draws the line. Why be a healthcare facility if you won’t see sick patients?!

I've been seeing these doctors since I was a kid. I've always felt well taken care of and all of my needs have been addressed! My fav person to see is Wendy. She is really kind and caring and really cares about you as a person and wants you to have the best quality of life that you can :)

Stay Away!! The doctors here are to busy for there patients. The nursing staff here is atrocious and totally incompetent. They dont care about you, they do not look out for your best interest or your wallet. Dont waste your time. Go somewhere else.P.S. Katie dont bother responding.

Dr. Mahand is the best! She’s nice, good Christian, laid back, and listens. She’s not a pill pusher. She’ll send you to a specialist if needed. I could not say enough good things about her.

Let me start with this is not my normally doctor's office I normally go to, thankfully. Mine is at the other end of the same building. I went to my doctors office website to set up a virtual appointment it takes me to my Texas Health app. I see my doctor along with some of the others from the same office that I've seen. I choose my doctor but she doesn't have an appointment available until Wednesday so I go back and chose other two doctors I've seen there. And Kelly had the fastest date available. I have seen Kelly at my doctors office. I discovered when the virtual doctor's appointment doesn't go as planned and I call my doctors office they advise me she isn't at their office anymore and politely give me that docoffice number. Finally get on the virtual appointment, get seen, and had to come in for strep test. I'm told they will call you once its done. By 4:30pm no call so I call to see what the results are and the lady who answered the phone said don't worry she will call you she is busy. So the next day around 9:30 to 10 I call them back and ask what the results are. First thing the girl ask me is are you planning on changing doctors offices to us instead of cornerstone? I told her no I wasn't. And she tells me you can't "doctor hop" you have to chose one. I told her I'm not doctor hoping I went to my doctor's office website and it sent me to Texas Health and it listed Kelly, due to me being seen by her before at my doctors office, if I had known she wasn't at cornerstone I wouldn't have made the appointment. And I did advise her I will never make that mistake again. Finally after being harassed she gives me my results. I was given no antibiotics, I still have a fever, headache, and sore throat for the past 6 days. Now I'm going to have to make an appointment with my doctors office and pay another copay. Because I sure do not want to deal with these people again.

A patient referral management representative, with whom I talked and then left two voice messages on the day prior to an appointment date at a specialist, did not return my calls in which I asked for my referral sent to a specialist provided that I cited. This referral rep stated she did not return my calls because her voicemail does not work. Yet she did not state in her voicemail greeting that callers should not leave messages because her voicemail is not functional. Consequently, when I arrived at the specialist office and notice patients arriving after me but then proceeding with their appointments ahead of me, I inquired at the specialist's front desk to learn that the specialist had not yet received my PCP referral. As a result, I had to then call the referral rep to inquire why my PCP referral was not sent. Consequently, I waited over an hour for my PCP referral to arrive at the specialist provider. For a patient referral representative not to have functional voicemail so that patients can have their voice messages promptly returned is not acceptable and does not value your patients nor their time.

My doctor proceeded through several tests to eventually end up recommending a consult with a surgeon regarding my condition. The surgeon recommended a surgical procedure, so I had to decide whether or not to have the surgery.I decided to have the surgery and found out it was an early stage cancer which is very treatable. I am so thankful for your help with continuing to push for a diagnosis of my condition.

I am upset with my physician at Texas Health Family Care . I have seen her two times. The first time was to establish care. I did a physical and a Pap smear. During my pap I informed her that I was very itchy down in that area and the physician didn’t even address it. My test results then came back for my pap included was a positive result for yeast infection. My doctor still has not contacted me. So I sent a portal message explaining my results came back positive for a yeast infection which I was still in pain for and she finally sent me in medication. The second time I came I didn’t want to but I was desperate to be seen as soon as possible and as cheap as possible. I had an allergic reaction to something I ate. When seeing her I informed her of my symptoms and included pictures (because I had makeup covering my rash) I informed her it was itchy and swollen and had a constant burn. She informed me I was having a reaction told me to take Zyrtec, Benadryl and use topical hydrocortisone cream and she sent me on my way. I tried the medications no improvement at all the swelling/redness remained and the topical cream was unbeatable on my skin. The next morning I woke up and it was extremely worse. It had spread down my body, my face was on fire and completely red and swollen. My mouth felt like I had hives or bumps all throughout. I was in so much pain and desperate to see her again but of course it was Saturday and they were closed. Broke and not spending an arm and a leg at an urgent care on a weekend I sat through 2 whole days of constant pain. I continued to take round the clock medication but still no improvement I did stop the topical cream because that was horrible. I work for a pediatricians office. Coming into work Monday morning all my doctors were shocked. Instantly I was injected with dexamethasone steroid and then waited until 8:00am when they open. I called and told them everything. The earliest they could get me in was 2:15. I took the appointment and informed them of the medication I received and asked if my doctor would like to take a different approach to my treatment or If the steroid is all they would do. The front lady on the phone first hesitated but eventually told me she would ask and call me back. Hours later around 1:30pm I received no phone call so I called back and ask again. The front lady stated they are asking now and will call me back. Just to remind you my appointment is at 2:15pm. 2:00 rolls around and I finally receive a call from them. The nurse was nice and Informed me they would of just given me the same shot at todays visit and a referral to Derm which is wonderful but It would great if my doctor would of went ahead and gave me a shot knowing I’m having an allergic reaction on a Friday when they are closed for the weekend. So I cancelled the appointment because obviously I can’t take two of the same shots. I will not recommend this clinic and I will never come back.I am already improving and feeling extremely better from the shot my boss (who is a doctor) gave me.
