“We got a recommendation from my aunt who dr . Hokanson was her vet teach many years ago . We went another vet before and not getting the results we wanted to see . So we went go fur baby got diagnosed right. We so thankful for Dr. Hokanson ! The staff also is so friendly and treats our fur baby like their own . Our passed away not to long ago but im so thankful for this place we got 3 extra years with our baby . They treated us when it was with such grace. We coming back once we have healed and get a new baby”

“I cannot say enough good things about this place! After a few days of no communication from my previous vet, I decided to make a last minute appointment for my cat to get checked out because she was having problems passing a stool and also had some blood present in her urine. I decided on MCAHC because when I was younger, my animals used to see Dr. Williams and I knew he provided exceptional care and excellent communication. Upon arrival, the front desk was so welcoming and the vet tech took me into a room right away to start asking questions about what was going on and her past history. Dr. Palmer then came in to see her to give me a synopsis on what they were going to be doing and also gave me some insight on her X-rays from her previous vet. The communication was so clear and she helped ease any anxiety I was having about my cats health. Thank you so much to the entire staff for working tirelessly on her! She is back to being her happy purring self and eating up a storm!”

“My 3 dogs and I are so happy to call Fry Road Animal clinic our vet. My dog Daisy needed a sick visit and the staff was able to upload all of the records i emailed them before the visit. I was impressed with everyone we met. Dr Brice was extremely through in his examination and explained all of the tests and medications. The exam was a through wellness exam as well as testing and treating her for allergies which is what brought us in. Additional vaccines and a skin test were recommended and i never felt pressured and i understood everything, every step of the way. I've since added the records for my other two dogs and will bring them in for annual visits when they are due. Simply the most caring, compassionate staff. Picture of adorable patient below.”

“Updating my review because I appreciate the attempt the owner made to reach out and make it right, and I’ve otherwise had a pleasant experience with the rest of the staff there so far, I’ll chalk the chip thing up to a misunderstanding/miscommunication and say that that doctor was also otherwise friendly too, and I know she at least did a thorough exam because she pointed out things I already knew Chester needed without me mentioning it (dental). We’re on vacation for another week and don’t have good cell service, but I appreciate the efforts staff here have made to address my initial concerns. Me and my babies will be back.”

“Friendly and knowledgeable. I wish that the services offered were more complete. For example, if you want to have your pet’s teeth cleaned, a third party provides that service on a periodic basis. I understand that there are probably good reasons to have this arrangement, but it just means you need to be proactive and schedule in advance. Other than this minor nit-pick, we’ve had great service from Grand Westheimer.”

“I would like to express my deepest gratitude for Dr. Cleavinger and her staff at Katy Veterinary Clinic on Hwy 90 in Katy...worthy of long review! As a retired medical professional, living in Katy over 33 years, I've been so disappointed in the quality of vet care in the Katy area. I'm not talking about friendliness. I'm talking about the ability to go the extra mile when an unusual severe medical condition arises. I've had too many vets unable to answer specific medical questions or have a medical discussion when asked pointed questions. The worst just make up answers that I know are clearly wrong. One popular vet claimed he would check with his Vet List Serv to get advise, but then he never got back to me, and avoided me when I tried to follow-up. He didn't know what to do and didn't want to ask other vets. Dr. Cleavinger is on a whole different level. The clinic is very well staffed and organized. You can call, text or email. They send you alerts and will answer questions. Dr. Cleavinger is from Katy and worked at her clinic prior to buying it. She listens completely, gives you options (good, bad, ugly), is very intelligent and has a great memory, she's compassionate and remembers both you and your pet(s) and appointments are 99% on-time. She emails you a summary of your visit for your records on the same day after your visit. She even contacted me when a new anemia medicine hit the market, which gave me another 2 precious months with my cat. I still can't believe how quickly it worked improving her quality of life in her final months. She has gone the extra mile for me more times than I can count. Her care and attention has extended the life of my Princess for a year. For senior citizens; she graciously offers a Senior Discount on everything, which is a huge help with prescription food and meds for seniors with geriatric pets. I can't say enough positive things about her. In addition, all her staff are so wonderful and her vet techs have to be the best in Katy!!!! There is no comparison clinic anywhere around the greater Katy area. Any vet can be friendly, give vaccinations and health checkups. But not all are good with hard cases or help after leaving their office. I came to her only with 5 geriatric pets: a 14 yo Labrador and 4 cats at 18yo. It has been a very hard year for me losing several. Still, after 33 years here in Katy, I can tell you there is a HUGE difference in the Quality of care by her and her entire staff there. They were amazingly patient with all my questions, allowed me to stay overnight with my girl and took excellent care of her. They took the time to explain everything to us and made sure we knew we could call with any questions or concerns that may come up. “I am so grateful to our longtime vet, Dr. Meghan Denney of Four Pars Vet Clinic, for referring me to internist Dr. Jill Manion, DVM, MS, at Blue Pearl Pet Hospital in Katy. My beloved 5-year-old White West Highland Terrier, Retro, had been having on-and-off issues and irregular blood tests for several months. After additional testing, including ultrasounds, we were all still perplexed as to what exactly was going on with him. Needless to say, this was extremely concerning and frustrating to us as well as time-consuming and expensive! We were beginning to feel as if Retro wasn't going to get a break to just enjoy his life without constant trips to the vet (pf which he was definitely not a fan!). In addition to Retro's problems, my husband has been recently diagnosed with a serious illness requiring intensive medical care and my attention as well. Needless to say, it has been hard on all of us, including Retro. After a thorough discussion of Retro's history with a tech, Dr. Manion came in. She immediately dismissed some of the diagnoses we had been given, such as Cushing's Disease, gallbladder problems, and allergy medicine side effects, and said she suspected a liver disease, such as hepatitis, could be the culprit. When I explained Retro's history and current situation, his vet's and my concerns, and my husband's current health, Dr. Manion could not have been more understanding and compassionate. She did a complete ultrasound of Retro and showed us all was well with him internally with the possible exception of his liver and said a biopsy would give us the definitive answers we needed as to whether Retro has a liver disease (as she suspects) and what type, if so. Because Retro is doing very well now and because of our family's current situation, she suggested we repeat his blood tests in a month or two and keep a watchful eye on him until then. She gave us terrific detail about what she thought was going on, what could happen, and what the warning signs would be (if any) if things took a turn. Finally, finally, I feel like we are on the right track and that we know what to do for our little guy to keep him happy and healthy. Thank you, Dr. Manion, you don't know how much you helped Retro and us that day. We're so grateful to you not only for your knowledge and professionalism but for your compassion and understanding as well!”
